Great Can Opener

This is the best automatic can opener I have ever owned. A close friend suggested this Kenmore model and I am glad I listened. The opener is quiet, reliable, and handles small and large cans. There are no metal slivers and the magnet holds the lid every time. It is easy to wash and it is small and fits nicely on the countertop next to my sink. I have several Kenmore appliances and they all perform well. Sears stands by their products and that is why I am a dedicated Sears shopper. The price is reasonable thus the product becomes a super buy. I have already purchased 2 others for house warming gifts. I also have a Kenmore blender which makes great smoothies every morning.

Beaten by Hand

This is the second can opener of this model and brand we have purchased. It is terrible when it comes to opening cans, regular soup cans open slowly but it won't even open a can of Dinty Moore beef stew. It fails to open any can that is larger than a 14 oz soup can. While the knife sharpener on the back will definitely grind your knives to junk with the incorrect angle and coarse blades I recommend only trying to sharpen your yard tools. We purchased a Black and Decker to replace this and it's a far more superior product at half the price. A sad day for Sears, Kmart and Kenmore!

Warning! Stay away from!!!

Read a review before purchasing and it said it quit working shorting after using. I thought, it must have been a bad one in the bunch they got. Well it turns out, my first couple of cam openings I couldn’t have been more happy with the item. THEN just outta the blue next time I used it, it sounded like it wanted to open the can but my can wasn't turning. Had a brief flashback to the review and passed it off as just being the cam I was trying to open. Used it again today, same thing, sounded like it was working, but can wouldn’t turn not even with help. This is total garbage-stat away!!!!!!

Can Opener

I like the tallness of the can opener for the big tall cans....
