I would have thought a vacuum that cost over 300 dollars would work better and not stop working after less than 2 years old. I had a Kenmore canister vacuum that lasted over 30 years without issues. Only reason I retired it was because it didn't have a better filter The Pop-n-go floor tool is useless as I can attach it faster by just putting it on by hand. Now after less than being 2 years old it's getting no power to the powermate carpet tool. Come to find out the ribbon cable in the wand is broke and now got to replace the cable or buy the whole wand at 130 bucks. I have always liked Kenmore products but now this is leaving a bad taste for Kenmore.
motor died after 15 months
The suction is good. But the hose doesn't swivel where it attaches to the canister which is a hassle. I like to detach the power head when vacuuming carpet and get around the edges of the wall but the plastic piece around the bottom of the hose makes that difficult to do. Also can't get under the beds good because the carpet attachment doesn't swivel. My old one did. They just don't make them as user friendly as they used to. :(
The vacuum just stopped, can't find anything wrong with it and I was transferred 6 times before someone told me I would receive no technical support unless I made an appointment.
The Kenmore vacuum isn't made as well as earlier models. This vacuum barely lasted me two years and it wasn't heavily used. Think I'll move on to another brand.
