Bring on the Bulky Stuff
This Kenmore gas dryer has a generous 7.4 cu. ft. of capacity, perfect for drying loads of towels, heaping hampers of work and school clothes and even bulky bedding. Use the Bulky/Bedding and Heavy Duty cycles for heavier laundry, like jeans and towels, without needing to babysit the dryer or trekking out to the laundromat to use a specialty dryer.
The Right Amount of Dry
Choose from 5 different heat levels, including Air Dry, and 5 different dry times to get your clothes and fabrics the right amount of dry in the right amount of time. Dual Sensor Dry uses 2 moisture sensors to monitor dryness levels throughout the cycle and to adjust
We can't believe how efficient our new machines are! The washer uses so little water, and both washer and dryer as SO quiet. We're sorry we waited so long.
I have had several Kenmore products and this is the first dryer I am having issues with. I like all the features, it dries quickly and the sensor & steam refresh features are great. What I don't like is the dryer lint trap does not sit well in the dryer and lifts up and catches my clothing. I have had service come out a couple of times, said this is normal, and cleaned out the extra lint that is "supposedly" causing the basket to not sit down properly. Even after "fresh cleaning" I run it once and it catches on my clothing. This is not a simple catch, it hooks on to the straps of tank tops, hems of shirts and catches on the corner of the basket and continues to turn & twist until it has destroyed the item. I have talked to customer service, they sent out technicians to fix. The tech says it is extra lint under the basket, cleans it out and says, “see” it now sits down in the basket. Even without the cleaning, it sits in the basket until you turn it on. The vibration of the dryer going round and round makes the lint trap wiggle up and catch my clothes. I feel this lint trap has an issue, does not fit in the slot properly or an actual design flaw. Of course after the last tech left, it happened again. So I called service again and they can’t discuss the defect unless a tech comes out and agrees this is defective. I have once again allowed them to schedule a service call. This time I will print all the pictures of clothing I have rescued or had to throw away due to damage and make them attach it to their report. Sears needs to have a better solution for issues of this sort. It is very unfortunate they have no other way to work with their customers to resolve an issue besides sending out a tech. I am guessing I won’t be a satisfied customer after the next visit schedule for this week. For now, as a consumer, I will share my story so others may not purchase the item I am having problems with. I spent a little over $900.00 on this product and don’t anticipate a solution will be offered from Sears. Overall, bad product and even worse customer service.
Read the other review on the defective lint trap. Had this product for a little over 2 years, the dryer has twisted the sh*t out of my clothes and ruined a couple pieces of laundry. Have to buy a replacement part that is not covered by Sears and it cost $32.
I was having an issue with my washer making a horrendous noise and moving all over the place when spinning. I found that the shipping bolts were left in place when actually they should have been removed. Once removed, the washer has worked wonderfully.
I bought the washer and dryer and I love them.
