Kenmore Electric Range

I purchased and had this delivered within the last couple weeks. I am very pleased with my purchase. I love the radiant heat burners, so much better then the coil burners. Easy to clean too. The 5 burner option is really nice when I need the extra large burner. Though I have not needed to use it yet, the oven is self-cleaning. The oven heats quickly and cooks evenly. Love the timer to let you know oven is ready and the timer to let you know when food is done. The timer signals every minute to remind you in case you didn't hear it the first time. There is a hot burner light indicator to let you know the burner is still hot while it cools down. Delivery was very timely as well. My only complaint would be that removing the old appliance should be free not an additional $25.00. Overall I am very happy with my purchase so far. I did purchase the 3 year extended warranty to be safe.

Not happy with my purchase. Cost too much to return so I'm stuck

I went from using a coil stove all my life but when it came to replacing my stove I wanted to get this ceramic glass top. And I hate it. I've had it a few weeks now and just can't get used to it. I used to place my pots on another burner to cool but now I can't. It scratches very easily. I would recommend thinking long and hard before making the switch from coil to glass top.

Does not pull gas to stove


After using for 2 years the oven dose not work. It does not light

Front glass Exploded while Unit was not even on


Front glass Exploded while Unit was not even on. We bought this unit in Aug. 2018, In December of 2019 the front glass exploded out. went all over the kitchen in little bitty pieces. Looked it up Kenmore's website states that if you bought this unit after Feb 2018 it now had a lifetime warranty on the front and top glass. It did not say why. So i called Kenmore. The lady was super super ride to me. Kept telling me that that the warranty went out 4 months ago and she told me she didnt know about this what i called a "so called lifetime warranty" she got nasty with me. I could not belive she was talking to me the way she was. I asked why why she felt as though she could talk with this way and that I wanted to speak with a supervisor. She told me I would get my supervisor and transferred to repair appointment setup in another country. I then found out that they were going to charge me $100.00 to come and diagnose my shattered glass. Then they would charge me to come back with another service call to and charge me for installation and that the $58.00 glass may be covered. So we were up to over $300.00 for a $58.00 glass on $500.00 unit. unless i wanted to join a the service plan of only $99.00 and then $15.00 a month. then it was all covered but the $99.00. i told the guy i could not believe that that thats the way this was handled. I had a glass that exploded while the unit was not on and no one was near it. He was very nice but i had to tell him thank you and ended up hanging up due to the same speech about buying that program over and over.
sears has lost a long time buyer. pretty sad when its cheaper to have a local repair person fix it instead of using warranty. Why are they not selling this unit anymore? hum maybe because its a danger .

Worst experience every


Had to reschedule the delivery. Because they couldn't deliver it on the date. Then when it was delivered wouldn't take the old one. 150.00 delivery for this and a 150.00 delivery for a refrigerator delivered on the same day. What a ripoff. I will never order from sears again.

Range is awesome, installers were horrible.


Range works well and looks nice in kitchen. exactly what we ordered. Installers were a different story, refuse to connect range and said our connectivity was unsafe. I gad Horizon electrician come out and said no problem took care of everything and said no safety hazard. I had to pay Horizon an extra $200. I would never buy anything from Sears that has to be installed.
