A great stove that is easy to use, clean and lots of room for my turkey.
Bought this stove and has same problem as my other Kenmore stove. If you simmer on low, at times the burner goes crazy and gets really hot, like on high. I have had several instances where I was simmering a stew or food and all of a sudden, the smoke alarm goes off and I go in the kitchen and the pan is red hot and smoking. The temperature control on these stoves has a known issue. When I complained, Sears answer was I should not leave food unattended when cooking.
came needing a new fan motor. over a month to replace and still noisy. do love the warming drawer. the turbo boil burner is too large for most pots
Has all the features you can ask for; Works great; The only thing I miss is that it has one light only in the oven - the old stove I had for 6 yrs, very similar to this one, had two lights.
We purchased a similar range 2 years ago and we love it. Our model has 6 knobs on the top, one is for the warming drawer.
The only thing I wish these convection ovens could do, is run the fan without any heat so that I could use it as a dehydrator with just the oven light on. The light heats up the oven compartment to 100-110 degrees, but with the air not circulating, it turns into a steam box, which is great for proofing yeast doughs, though. Please consider a "fan only" option for future models so they can be used as a dehydrator, too.
We had an old electric range and were pleasantly surprised by the features on this new model. The true convection feature works nicely to cook faster. I love the turbo boil feature that really heats up water fast.
