Love it

Went to Sears to buy a new refrigerator and on the way out, fell in love with this range. Really liked the look of the stainless around the cook surface, most stainless ranges it is black around that area. Always wanted a double oven too - mainly for the neat factor. Was worried about top oven not being large enough for a roast or cooking a bird but it is plenty large enough. One warning on this baby, pick a nice day and open all the windows and turn on the range fan when you fire up both ovens - it will burn off the "newness" in a big way - you will think the range is on fire the way heavy smoke pours out for 10 minutes or so - and the smell ! Also, a minor thing but the doors need to be shut firmly, a couple times I have shut the door and the oven light stayed on and I was like huh - tapping the door slightly and light went off. Will have to see if there is any adjustment. After that though, all is good. The turbo burner is great. I thought about the new induction range top - but I don't want to be restricted to only using metal pots and pans - too much of a hassle and with the turbo element, it is just fine! Only negative was it took a while to come in - I think it was new and not available when I bought it so it took a month to arrive. Sears delivery service is great. Had two different groups over the past couple months for deliveries and both were top notch. Got a great price as well with the sale and points from my frig purchase, got about $500 off :) I would definitely recommend this range - looks amazing and works perfectly.

Convection is beyond noisy

The oven as a whole is not too bad. Unfortunately The top oven that has the convection oven is terrible. The fan makes a grinding noise the whole time it runs. I have had the fan motor replaced and it still made the same noise. Customer service sent out another oven to see if the oven was defective. The second oven was even louder. So they sent out another motor to replace that one. Still no fix. I am so tired of having service and delivery people in and out of my house I have given up on this. I have decided not to purchase another Kenmore instead. This has been the worst experience with appliances I have ever encountered. I would tell anyone who doesn't want to hear grinding noise coming from their oven to not purchase this oven. It may look nice but it needs to have the convection motor recalled. The motor is made by Electrolux and one would think it would be a good motor. Very disappointed because the rest of the oven it very nice.

worst purchase decision ever

Both ovens ran far below the set temperature and I had all the control boards and temperature probes changed within the first 10 months. Basically a lemon, but still had to push very hard with Sears to get a replacement range.

As with other reviewers, the convection fan sounded like a plane taking off but I didn't bother complaining about that as I had worse problems with the ovens either losing all their heat or burning food.

I do not recommend this model at any price and would give no stars if I could.

Convection fan is incredibly loud

We like everything about the oven but the convection feature is worthless because the fan is so loud that you can hear it all over the house. Fan noise oscillates like the fan is straining and cannot keep up with the required pressure drop.

Stove Can't Retain Temp & Loud Convection

I purchased this stove at the end of this past July, and I have had nothing but problems. First, it takes forever to get to temperature, and it is really loud getting to temperature and using the convection oven. I also noticed that things took longer to cook in this oven. In December, the oven broke completely and would stop heating once it reached temperature. It would say 400 even though it was 250 inside. It took three weeks to get the range fixed. Since it has had so many problems, I have been monitoring the temperature. Three days after the fix, I noticed that my 400 degree oven was only 325 inside, and a Sears service agent told me that was normal. If that is the case, then this not the stove for any baker. Do not waste your money on this lemon.

Double oven is awesome!

We just purchased the Kenmore double oven and we love it! We specifically bought it to be able to cook 2 different items at the same time that require different Temps. Fantastic is all I can say!

Perfect stove!

Stove works great. Convection oven is superior. Like the top oven because it is larger than the one on my Gemini, which this stove replaces. Great stove for a great price!
