My previous unit was an extremely loud Frigidaire. This Kenmore is such a relief.? It cools very well. It barely has to run in order to keep up. I bought this because I wanted an LG, but they are not in stock anywhere. However, you can buy this Kenmore (made by LG) today.? This was a great purchase.
Owned the predecessor to this unit for 9 years, until it finally gave up the ghost. Bought this one based on performance of the old unit and it is one of the few that the temperature will set to 60 degrees. We went a size above the suggestions based on square feet (the previous unit was same BTU). This one will not cool the room to 60, never once has it been below 65, regardless of the temperature outside. Called Sears, they sent a technician who said is performing as it should from his perspective, nothing he can do, he blabbered a lot about they should never have gone to digital controls, is problematic. Told him that was odd, as previous unit also had digital temp setting. Purchased in June 2018, on the phone with the local Sears where I picked it up re: returning for refund.
