We just purchased this dishwasher and so far it's doing great! So many features and some we were looking for like the third rack while others we weren't but glad we have them. It folds the rack holder completely flat on the bottom rack which is great and also the shelves adjust. We have done a load of dishes with it and it works flawlessly! Everything comes out clean even those scummy pet bowls! ??
Well that's not entirely true. The positive: It did not leak and destroy the floors. The negative: A normal cycle is over 3 hours, dishes consistently come out dirty, dishes are soaking wet after the drying cycle, and it has a loud drone that is anything but whisper quiet. It is hard blame Sears for not wanting to take it back (I wouldn't want it back either...)
I put it on the 3 hour pots and pans wash and all the dishes come out spotless. Its very quiet. I don't rinse that well prior either. I've been using daily for almost a year. Installation was great too. Sorry to hear others are disappointed. Before every wash I always check to be sure there is nothing blocking the spray arms from spinning. Also, the installer told me to use the best dishwasher pods so I use the platinum. This is definitely the best dishwasher I've ever used.
Does NOT clean the dishes! It is quiet and I love that you can adjust the rack height but it does NOT clean the dishes! I have to look each piece over before I put it away. I usually end up putting several pieces right back in. Very disappointing. Also, the dry cycle is useless. Very disappointing.
In order for the dishwasher to work, I frequently have to flip its circuit breaker off for a minute or two. Sears seems to be well aware of the problem because I receive detailed instructions on what to do. However, when I ask to have it repaired, the rest of the call is about how I will probably have to pay the repairman even though it is covered under warranty. Shoddy product; truly awful customer service.
This machine is amazing! Just ordered the machine and instillation kit. My husband installed it himself. It was super easy. We no longer have to prewash, everything comes out sparkling. Having 3 rows is pretty cool. I use the top one for random things that would normally fly around or fall to the bottom. We usually use the smart wash setting and everything comes out perfect. My favorite thing about this machine is how all the prongs are adjustable to fit odd sized items like large pots or Tupperware. The only con is sometimes the dishes aren't completely dry. Not dripping wet but has like a condensation on them.
Dishwasher worked great for 5 months this and then it unexpectedly failed in early February. No power, dead. We all understand that these things happen but after several visits, broken Promises, many parts replaced and our dishwasher is still not working as of April 17th. The service folks are waiting for yet another part that might fix this unit and this is not due until sometime in May so the months keep ticking by. Numerous calls to customer service go nowhere. They refuse to replace the entire unit. So the option is to dump a $700 dishwasher to the curb because sears won’t or can’t fix or replace it or continue to wait. So beware if this unit of the fancy electronics break, you might be in the same boat as we are.
