Super Quite

The advertised 45 decibels is accurate. I have to listen closely to see if it is running. Large capacity shelves. Easy to install. If you have an existing dishwasher and a supply line in good condition ( I have a copper line) them yu may only need the hose to fitting adapter. I used the one out of the kit and will use the other parts for other projects. We wanted bisque color which limited our selection. But we are very happy with this unit. We use the smart dry option and everything comes out dry including plastic. Do make sure you stack items so water doesn't sit on top of them as the instructions say.  The one complaint is the long run time which is almost 3 hours on normal wish. It has t been a problem as we make sure we start the cycle soon enough to use the dishes. There is a quick wash cycle but we haven't used it. I would actually take a few decibels louder if the unit was faster. But again the length hasn't caused a problem yet.

POOR PERFORMER

Bought, installed, worked well for about 5 days .. now will not clean dishes. Not even the smallest of soils. Dishes are coming out as dirty as they went in. Contacting customer service to return it. Will update as this unfolds.

It is OK, But Can Be Better

|

Bough the item in Feb 2018. We needed in Bisque and this was one of the few choices, the most expensive, with most options. Installed it carefully by myself and it worked perfect for few months. Then we noticed few rust sports, though the interior is stainless. The heating element got rusty too, now is all rusty, but works. I Jan 2019, i.e. 1 month before the end of the warranty, we called Sears tech to come and see the rust. He showed-up after two weeks, looked at the unit and said it is OK. I was surprised because our old unit, also Kenmore, never got rust. The tech said nowadays all get rusty and there is nothing he can do. And left. As of now, the rust has not increased much, but I am disappointed. There are some pros. The unit is quiet. The biggest advantage: it cleans very well the dishes and dries very well. Though it takes between 4 and 5 hours per cycle, unless you pres Express Wash (1 hour) or similar. My verdict: an OK unit, but I expected more from Kenmore Elite. I did not expect rust to appear on a stainless steel, which I count as the only disadvantage. If you get the unit on a sale (and it often is), it is not a bad deal.

Buyer Beware

|

I loved this dishwasher for the first year!  It’s quiet and cleaned my dishes well.  But then things started to change.  Every 3-4th load would be less clean.  I just assumed someone put dirty dishes in a clean load.  Over the next few months, this happened more frequently and then finally it was impossible get a clean load.  I had a repairman out and he determined the motor assembly needed replacement (nearly $500 parts and labor)!  This happened out of warranty because although the dishwasher had only been installed for 22 months, I bought it 4 months earlier= 26 months.

It’s been barely 2 months since the motor replacement and we are having sporadic issues again!

I would NOT recommend this dishwasher unless you plan to replace it.

Brilliant

Love the dishwasher, it’s so quiet I turned everything in the house ( we have 5 kids) and I had to walk up to it and put my ear close the dishwasher to confirm it’s on. It really neat how the door, is closed, but you can still read the time duration on the wash. I’m in love

Quiet clean!

|

Best dishwasher I have ever owned old one was a whirl pool that was rusting out. This is a fantastic machine! I noticed a huge difference In cleaning power compared between the two I did not think the extra jet packs on the inside of the washer to help scrub dishes cleaner. The difference is staggering. If you’re going to buy one of these work over the extra cash to get one with more jets and scrubbers. Save if you have to makes that big of a difference.
