Take Care of Your Laundry
Laundry Day Made Simple
Built for Convenience
Have had this for a couple years now. No issues what-so-ever. Love the smartness of it. Drop in the cloths, add soap. Press Power. Press start and it takes care of everything. It's large enough to do a king size comforter and it does it well. Great machine.
Bought this at Sears on Saturday and returned it Monday along with the steam dryer. Put in 4 towels that I distributed evenly around tub. It spent several minutes balancing and weighing load. When water was added, the water did not even cover the towels. It kept trying to balance the load and went through that function many times. The remaining time kept getting longer and longer until it showed one hour and forty minutes to complete load. The glass top is useless as it gets fogged up. The print on the options were so small that both my husband and I had to use a flashlight at night to see them. I had looked forward to getting a new top load washer as I was using a front loader, which I hated. The rubber gasket had gotten moldy and smelled on that washer. It was an LG and very expensive. This Kenmore washer and dryer rang up at around $2,000 which included the extended warranty. I told my husband that I would rather keep the old front loader than put up with this nonsense. Luckily we hadn't gotten rid of it yet!
DO NOT BUY!!!!! No matter what cycle or what detergent I use, my clothes do not come out clean. Sometime they even come out with new stains!!!!
We have had this Kenmore washer for four years. Even in Water Plus mode, it doesn’t do simple things like get sand out of beach towels. We shake them before the wash and still sand is in the washer after the wash. Sand then gets on subsequent clothes. What a mess! Finally, the pulsator recently detached. The Sears service repair said it would be $600 to fix since it broke off from the transmission. We now have to replace the washer since Sears does not stand by their product. Do not buy this machine!
Does a good job of washing. Has all the options we want to use. One thing we didn't think of, my wife is short and can't reach the bottom of the tub to retrieve clothes. We will handle that though/
We have only had the machine 2 weeks now so our review will be based on that. At this time the machine is working fine and getting our clothes clean. Our decision to buy this model was primarily based on the fact that this machine was built by LG which was rated very high by Consumer Reports. We would have not bought this machine had anyone else built it for Sears.
