Family of 5 and we do LOTS of laundry. Our old Whirlpool Duet front loader died after about 6 years. I wanted a LARGE capacity washer and this baby was the perfect. Decided to try top loader because not really a big fan of front loader. I was worried that this newer unit did not have any reviews and the only one I found was 1-star due to unbalanced load. Salesman told me that it doesn't make sense as this unit has an auto-stabilizer function. I went back and forth between this unit and the large cabrio and samsung but this unit just seemed to be better built, more solid, less of a cheap plastic feel. Much better dispenser than the cheap plastic slide out shelf found in other units. Although nervous I went for it and have been VERY pleased thus far. Also bought matching dryer and both look and work great. HUGE capacity on both units which is just what we need. Delivery was late, hurried and unprofessional but love this washer and dryer set....
We purchased this machine because of its large size and we also wanted to change to a top loader. What a mistake! We attempted to wash our first load (a relatively small load) as soon as it got to the spin cycle it stopped for an unbalanced load. We took everything out and spread them out as evenly as we could and restarted the cycle with same result. We attempted it three more times. We then placed only halve the items back in (a pair of sweat pants and a couple of jeans, again as evenly distributed as possible. Same result! What a waste of our money! Save yourself the disappointment we had and loss of hard earned money. Junk! Buy something else.
Yes, it's huge. Yes it's got some fantastic functions, but not worth the hype. I have had it 2 months and it easily gets unbalanced by average size comforters. Sometimes there's an unclean film left on the fabric with large loads. It also damaged a quilt, quite badly even on the most gentle cycle. Get a front loader instead
The washer is washing good. But the glass lid is bursting again and again. The lid burst with loud noise first in 6 months and it burst again now in 12 months. It is very scary. Hope Sears will take this washer back. Very scared to keep it in the house.
We bought this washer 2 years ago and I was absolutely in love. I was awestruck by it's beauty and size. Please don't make the same mistake I did. The first week we had it, it started leaking. By the time a repair man came out to look at it, the leak had mysteriously stopped on on it's own. 3 months later the glass lid shattered while washing a load of towels! Again no explanation was given and it took almost 3 weeks for repair due to back order. Now, 2 years later, the pump just went out causing the electrical panel to fry (according to the Sears repair man) and will cost $900 to repair. This washing machine has been the biggest disappointment and I would not recommend to anyone!
Buying this washing machine was absolutely the worse purchase that I have made in years. When I first saw it I loved the sleek look of the machine and the load capacity was absolutely unbelievable. I was sold on what I saw, but it turns out that I could not have been more deceived by my eyes. Over a year later, the only good things that I have to say about this machine is what you can see on the outside; its big and beautiful! There is absolutely nothing Elite about this machines performance! My clothes come out still looking like they are dirty. I can never get stains out of clothes. I regret buying it and wish that I could return it for something worthy of being called a washer. This should have been called a soaker because that's the best that it can do is make sure your clothes are wet
We got this washer last March with a matching dryer. Immediately had a leak. Got it fixed. And just last Friday which today is the 15th of January 2019 the lid shattered. Cool, still under warranty. We set up an appointment on Friday for them to come today on the 15th. The repairman gets here and takes notes and orders the part. Says it'll be February 4th when the part will arrive, not to be replaced. Glass is everywhere in the machine. I have to wait almost a month to have a working washer. Glass is in my children's clothes. What a sorry excuse for a product. Who knows how long the new lid will last. I'd rather them take this piece of **** and replace the whole washer because a shop vac isn't gonna get all that glass out. It'll get caught in the pump and fry that. Stay away sears.
