First off let me say this has been by far my greatest investment! Rita the sears associate at fort Walton beach sears was absolutely amazing she is very knowledgeable and helpful ! I have a family of 6 3 adults 3 children and a dog so needless to say we have a lot of laundry and this machine literally does a weeks worth of laundry in 2 loads! What used to take 2 or 3 days to get done takes just hours! I am also able to wash my entire king beset complete with large comforter sheets pillow cases and mattress pad KING size in one load and it drys fully in 40 minutes or less! I'm in love with this set more than my boyfriend! Lol seriously!!!
Clothes do not come clean even when using extra deterg, also more wrinkled and if not 6' tall, get a step ladder, you will need it when emptying washer. When drying, they come out half dry and wrinkled beyond what would be called normal. Also get the old ironing board out, you will need it. I recommend staying with the older models, all the pretty bells and jingles aint worth it. Go back to the old fashion washer and dryers, they work much much better. These new ones are not worth the money you pay and you don't realize it until you can't get your money back or a return. Beware BAD BUY!
Washer is GREAT. Until the lid exploded while NOT in use & hadn't been for more than 48 hrs. Sears/Kenmore WILL NOT help as I've gotten the run around daily for 3 weeks. They are NOT admitting that this machine, Whirlpool, ans Samsung have all had these issues.
When I first purchase this washer in 2017, it wouldn't spin out properly. I was then told you must carefully arrange load in a circle leaving the silver ball in the middle exposed. That fixed the problem most of the time. This machine does not do a good job cleaning unless you use the oxy-clean and deep fill option. You must always use 2 rinse cycles or there will be soap left on your clothes. The fabric softener compartment never empties out and is left with water and softener in it. This machine was very high priced and very poor performance.
My glass lid has exploded 2x as the lid was sitting alone, not running, not doing anything... the 1st time was within the 1st 2 weeks of deliver... the second time was 3 months out of warranty - or 15 months old... Sears refused to fix the lid... even though it was obvious it was defective since there was no damage and I was not touching the machine at the time of the explosion.... to fix just the replace the glass is over $500... and they give no options only to replace with another possible defective tempered glass lid... this is not only costly... but dangerous as I was standing about 3 feet from the machine with my young son and we were both hit by flying glass from the machine!!! I also needed to clean up the floor from all the glass! I do NOT recommend!!!!
We bought this unit to go with our new house, after a month of moving and finely getting in the new house, we found out this washer eats our clothes, and most of the time will not dispense the softener, or the soap!! Other times it just stops in the middle of the cycle and says it's done. We bought it to save time since it can wash a large amount of clothes at one time. But it takes more time doing multiple washes due to it not putting the soap or softener in. Off balance alot and alot of times it will leave the clothes in water and no spin out. We spend over $1000 and this unit to turn around and buy new clothes from it wearing them out so fast. I will never buy a unit like this again.
