This washer, and it's accompanying cavernous dryer, are highly efficient, quick, and quiet. The steam does make noise at times during in the cycle, but this is only for short periods of time. Clothes are much cleaner and brighter than any previous top loader and older, smaller front load machines. Have owned for five months.
We bought Kenmore Elite washer, pedestal washer, dryer, and pedestal storage in metallic silver, alongside two hose kits on Black Friday. On December 11th they were delivered, but the pedestal washer was in white, this was not the color we ordered and so they took it back. We then called Sears about the issue and that's where the nightmare began. They would send us back and forth between people, none of which helped us. They refused to deliver our silver pedestal washer nor would they return our money, after some time we noticed that they started adding to our total by doubling the tax. Not only did they not give us our money back for the pedestal washer, they also doubled the tax. They also took hoses that we bought as a kit for the washers which cost about $20 dollars. Apparently the salesperson made a mistake by ordering it in white, and now Sears wants us to pay the current price even though we bought is during a Black Friday sale. Why should we pay for the current price if we bought it on sale seeing as it was the sales person's mistake, shouldn't the sales person fix his mistake? Today is the 27th of December and Sears still hasn't helped us, nor has the salesperson. When purchasing the item, the salesperson told us that Sears has a 30 day return policy and only after we made the purchase he told us that there is a 15% restocking fee which they wanted to charge us even though we never actually got the item we ordered. The customer service has been absolutely horrible and I plan to never shop at Sears again. Adding to all this we had Sears shop points for $100 off of our purchase, but when we tried to redeem them, it refused to work and now the points expired. I contacted Sears about the points, but they again refused to assist. After having the washer for less than a month, it started making banging noises, but I am worried that Sears will be of no help. A note I would like to add is that when we contacted Sears we were told to talk to the store manager, but whenever we try to contact the store manager, nobody picks up. We left messages, but there aren't any responses. We can't go directly to the store as it is nearly 140 miles away. To summarize, we don't have our pedestal washer even though we paid for it, they are trying to charge us a 15% restocking fee even though is was the salesperson's mistake, they doubled our tax on the total, they took our hoses that we paid for, and the now machine is making banging noises and we have nowhere to go to. This is just as good as a scam and it's no wonder why Sears is going bankrupt.
Love the new W/D set in this line. Sleek, efficient, quiet, and my sisters tease about the blue lights looking like a plane cockpit. :-)
Over the years I have researched quite a bit about this machine before buying. The LG built Kenmores are some of the best washers on the market currently. I will say, it cleans very well, has lots of features, and is very quiet. However, it never reaches 1300 rpm as stated, never fills with tap hot water on hot or extra hot for any cycle, and really likes to sudslock. A majority of those issues can be worked around, so I can't complain too much. Rinsing is good as long as you turn AccelaWash OFF!
Delivery has been postponed for another 2 weeks after waiting the initial 4 weeks. I have not received it yet. Extremely inconvenient !
This washer has a large capacity and can finish loads very quickly. I like that it has an "extra hot" setting for things that need that. Took a few tries to get the leveling just right but once we had that done it is very quiet as well. I only didn't give it a 5-star as the WiFi feature needs to be reset frequently and that is a bit annoying but ... well ... technology. This is our 3rd set of Kenmores...first went 11 yeas, second went 16...let's see where this one goes.
This is the second machine I have purchased the previous one same model etc., which was purchased on 2/2/20 made a clunking noise. Contacted SEARS Home Services, who sent a tech who disabled the machine. Because of COVID-19 my age 81, compromised immune system cannot go to the laundromat had to purchase this machine. Have submitted a BBB report for AF Services who did the damage. Want SEARS to pay for this machine since the previous one was damaged by AF Services. Have tried various ways to submit a claim and have not received a response.
