It's a wonderful range. I was able to buy it on sale (Labor Day) which was a major plus. Rather than list the many great things I like about this range, I'm going to only mention the two negatives. 1) if you lean in, your body may push one of the set buttons. I've done that many times and lo-and-behold "550degrees" or "350degrees" lights up. You still would have to push START to activate those temps, but it is disconcerting. 2) the raised chrome(?) lip makes it hard to wipe off crumbs. I'm still very pleased with this unit but think the design-team should re-think the above 2 situations.
I love the range except for the glass top.
Great heating fast and even baking in oven.
First let me say that she is a beauty! Second she cooks and bakes like a dream. So glad my other stove finally gave out. Love my new one!
I have had this Electric Range for about two months now and can't stop bragging about all of the great features it has. The cook-top burners work extremely well and fast, and since I have been using the Kenmore Cleaning Cream after each use, I don't have a single scratch on it yet. The Oven makes the best roasted potatoes and chicken breasts, broiled hamburgers, and baked fish we have ever had, and the dual convection is the key to how evenly cooked, browned, or seared the food is. My wife can't wait to use this Range to do all of her holiday baking in it. The icing on the cake is the Warming Drawer and the Food Temperature Probe that just make fixing a full meal so easy to handle. Don't miss out on all of the features this awesome Range has to offer.
Stove is beautiful and allows backsplash to really be focal point. However a few issues keep it from being 5 star;
1. Needs a lock out feature for keypad. As others have indicated just brushing it causes it to beep and turn on.
2. Why, oh why does Sears not make a proper trim kit to cover the gap between granite countertops and stove sides. Huge FAIL! This not being a slide in there is invariably going to be a gap between stove and counters and proper trim kit is one way of covering it. Most other high end manufacturers sell matching trim kits for counter sides and even for back this being part of the Kenmore Elite line you would think the same would be the case.
First off this thing is beautiful. Sparkles in our kitchen. I love the no back feature, it shows off more of our backsplash which looks better than control panels. So far it cooks great and cleans up pretty well. The stainless steel seems like it is going to be tricky to keep from getting scratched. Also the glass top shows smudges easily but that's nitpicking. So far a week in and it cooks great, the turbo boil is amazing! The warming drawer is a nice compromise to the double oven. We are very happy! As far as the front controls yes they are sensitive but it does not turn the oven on it just beeps and sets a temp but it does not start heating up that needs another input. Buy it you won't regret it. Hope this helps.
