Excellent Washer

I just had this washer and the matching dryer installed earlier today. After running a few loads, it is everything I had hoped for and much improved from my previous Kenmore Elite washer. It's quiet and efficient. The controls look complicated but you can figure them out quickly. It will take some time to try out all the different features, but so far I am very happy.

Tub Bearing Failed After One Year

We received this washer in December 2014 as a warranty replacement for an LG machine. We were very pleased with the performance of the washer, very quiet, worked well for us. At almost exactly one year, the machine became noisy during spin cycle. Repair tech diagnosed a tub bearing failure. The machine was one year four days old, out of warranty. The tech stated that detergent and bleach can damage the bearing, seriously!?. This is obviously a manufacturing defect. I have contacted Sears and they won't touch it as it is out of warranty. I will pursue further, but recommend you avoid this machine & its LG counterpart.

I love this product,  economic on water use and energy efficient. It can handle big loads and gets everything nice and clean. The settings are user friendly. Able to wash a king size comforter.
Compared to other washing machines this product is affordable and reliable for big family.
No maintenance or repair issues since owned, so I differently recommend this product

Unhappy with this Washer

|

Purchased this washer in April 2016. Been experiencing same balancing problems that others have complained about. It takes forever to balance any load, light or heavy. Been putting up with the balancing issue. Now after 8 months, it is leaking from under the washer during the drain cycle. Its not the drain hose, its something inside the washer. Sears repair can't come out for 9 days so I have towels around the washer. Very disappointed with this product and also Sears repair for their unavailability until 9 days.

Don't Buy This!

|

In two months, I have had THREE separate problems with this product. Today, it overflowed, flooded my newly refinished basement, ruined the ceiling, drywall, built-in wooden bookcases, etc. Sears is giving me the runaround and is not helpful at all in replacing the faulty unit or fixing the damage caused to my house. Do not buy this product...or anything from Sears for that matter. Awful, awful experience.

Solid, well built machine, tons of settings to accomodate all types of load

|

Purchased this washer about 3 weeks ago. There are tons of settings on this machine. They thought of every type of load of laundry possible. A bit confusing at first sight but once you start using it you will love all the options. So far clothes are very clean and finishes a load much quicker than my old front load machine. This may seem weird but the actual drum seems very cheap to me. So far no problems and maybe I just am old school and thinking the heavier metal drums are better. Time will tell Overall I would highly recommend this washer. Does a great job.
