My stove has been a lemon from day one!
The convection has not worked.
Cleaning the front control panel is indeed annoying, one would think that the company would put a key lock for cleaning purposes! ? When baking the stove does blow warm air at your mid section which is odd.
My front right power burner went out after a year and after 2 warranty repair visits still does not work properly. Oven door switch was broken at purchase and had to be replaced, the little silicone feet on the bottom of the grill top were not all present on purchasing and scratched the top. Bottom line you can make no assumptions that you got good equipment. Upon receipt of your equipment inspect all features and report all problems right away otherwise it's harder to deal with.
I really wanted to love this stove as I outfitted my kitchen in all Elite appliances...but for the price, I couldn't. First, the front right burner wouldn't adjust as per the directions. I was going to have a service call however I ended up returning it. And not just for that reason... The other burners do not seem to have a lot of output. If using the RF burner and you need a second burner to boil a large pot of water - you are stuck using the middle burner which really crowds thing on the stove top. Then, the display - so sensitive, it's aggravating to clean and difficult to clean. The entire time the buttons register and you are inadvertanly turning things on and off. It seemed to take a while to preheat the oven though I didn't time it (comparing it to my previous GE profile). I used the convection setting for cookies and used three racks- the top rack browned on top while the other two racks were not quite done yet, so I really wasn't impressed with the baking functionality. Also when the oven was in use a fan would constantly run blowing room temperature air out of the front of the stove. This was strange, and annoying - both the noise and the air blowing on my midsection. After a few weeks of using the stove I decided to return it. For the price, I expected a much better performing stove. I am thankful for Sear's return policy as this stove gets picked up tomorrow! The process this far has been okay, hopefully the return and credit processes as planned. I write all this as my first review because I depend on them to a certain degree and there wasn't as reviews of this stove so I wanted to share :-)
