The headline says it all. Oh yeah, I should add that I can load and unload the washer standing up now. No need to squat.
I purchased the 51042 pedestal as indicated in my Kenmore Washer Elite Use and Care Guide (796.4158*). The pedestal is too big and the feet of my washer do not fit into the brackets of the pedestal.
Very good for your back, works well, but nothing special. I miss the ones that had a spot for the dryer sheets. If you don't have to, don't pay for delivery of this item or for a time window- you can pick it up for free and they don't install it. They also don't come during the time window you choose even if you pay for it- this happened with our dryer and our pedestal. Customer service is no help. Delivery guy won't answer his phone. Had to spend hours just to get the "time window" fee refunded. Also, you don't need all the attachments to many of the items they automatically add to your cart when you get an appliance. Beware. Sears, you are better than this. This is why you are struggling.
I should have known better, as the past reviews shared information regarding the shallow drawers - they do NOT allow storage of even short laundry supplies (it seems the 5-star reviews may be fake - after a second read, they all seem rather vapid...yes?). However, even more concerning (and not mentioned in the specifications), each drawer can only hold 18 lbs (the weight limit is stamped into the bottom of the cheap plastic drawer)!? For those that don't care to do the math; that's only eight (8) 1 Liter bottles <OR> two (2) one gallon bottles (on their sides, of course)! As a past reviewer stated...Who would design something like this?? I am still trying to find a reason to keep these, as they 'look' cool; however, I'm leaning towards returning (my wife didn't want them in the first place...I think I'm in trouble...).
I ordered this item and even though a "Sears Appliance Expert" said that it was compatible with my Sears Kenmore Elite washer /dryer set it did not fit. Because I was past the 30 day return window due to me moving and by the time I got into my new home to get them installed, Sears refused to help me. They strung me along for 4 weeks making promises that this would be taken care of. I was transferred around to numerous departments, told to call various 800 numbers, told to email corporate and customer solutions, told to upload screen shots of their website where it stated that these pedestals were compatible with my washer and dryer (which I did 3 times and they kept stating they couldn't open even when using their software that they sent me). All of these were jobs for ME to do leading to no resolution. I spent endless wasted time on the phone (getting hung up more than once as well). I even have the name and ID# of one of their product specialists admit to me on the phone that they changed the pedestals and they would not fit my washer and dryer which are a couple years old. But she wouldn't put it in writing because she said she wasn't allowed! I was willing to do an exchange , a return, even accepting a store credit. I was willing at my expense to ship them back or have one of their service personal come to my house to look at the pedestals (My moving company were the ones that told me they didn't work initially until that Sears rep told me they wouldn't work) SEARS DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS OR STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS! I finally called American Express and filed a dispute (I used my Am EX card for the purchase) . They got more results in 15 minutes than I ever got in 4 weeks. Now we are asking for a full refund and cart away of the ones I purchased at their expense. I will never shop at Sears again...but however Am Ex has me as a customer for life! #AmExRocks
