This fridge started to have problems at 9 months. The one year warrranty covered it and it continued to have the same problem over and over which was either it stopped cooling in the refrigerator or the stopped freezing in the freezer. Then I was persuaded to buy the home warranty who were even worse. Customer service calls took 1-2 hours. They passed me from person to person. I could not speak to a supervisor and was promised they would call me back but never did. They sent 3 different vendors to fix it. I threw away soo much food and never got reimbursed for it because they said they dont do that. I spoke to representatives in the Philipines. I called different numbers and got reps in the US who argued with me over the phone that they don't have anyone in the Philipines. These reps were from the south of the US. REPs could do nothing but kept apolgizing. It would take sometimes 2 weeks to send someone out to fix the issue. Imagine two weeks and using the freezer as you fridge!!!! At one point I was asking the neighbors if I can store recently purchased items in their freezer. OH WAIT ! I forgot to mention I have 5 kids. This is a piece of junk! I have yet to solve this issue. I wish I could sue them for damages and loss of food and wasting my time!!!! SEARS home serivce, customer service is absolutely disgusting!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!
I am SO disappointed in this frig. It wasn't even 2 years old and needed something replaced that was $900. They didn't cover and then couldn't even get the piece. I paid over $2000 for this frig and they only gave me $1440 to replace it. NEVER AGAIN
I wanted to take the time to write a review on this side by side in case there is every a class action. This was the worst buy I have ever made at Sears. I bought this refrigerator because of the amazing features that were offered. Accela ice, filters on vegetable bins, and whole refrigerator. The LED lighting was also well done. Beyond those features is where the challenges begin. At year 2, my refrigerator stopped cooling. I could hear a very high whining noise. I also opened the refrigerator and could smell a distinct chemical odor. I called the service line. I unplugged the refrigerator. I waited a few days until the service tech could arrive. He inspected the refrigerator and found the compressor and all components were defective and no longer working. The compressor is the main part of a refrigerator! Since the refrigerator was out of warranty, I needed to pay over 600.00 to fix! I had them fix it given the refrigerator was only 2 years old. Over the next week, four boxes arrived with all the inner workings. The tech came out and exchanged all parts. We were back in business so I thought. 7 months later, there was frost build up in the back of the refrigerator. I did not understand why this was given basically the refrigerator was new with all the inner parts having just been replaced. I called the service department again. They were able to pull up my records from 7 months ago. I was told that the warranty on the fix was 90 days and I needed to pay again for the service call even if it is the same problem! I was beside myself. I pleaded to have them come out and check without a charge. They denied my request. I defrosted the refrigerator by unplugging and plugged back in. The refrigerator worked for another month then the noise and smell again. I was done! The worst purchase ever! I had to buy another refrigerator. Please do not buy this refrigerator. If I could give it 0 stars I would do so.
Bought this fridge 2 years ago and it's constantly freezing over to the point that the water won't dispense and you can hear the compressor motor revving up and down in a constant cycle. Just last month, the ice dispenser motor quit. We initially had a Samsung model before purchasing this one and the repair man that came to look at our Samsung informed us to stay away from Samsung and LG models. So we purchased this Kenmore and turns out that it's actually built by LG. I guess they don't make appliances like they use to.
I have been waiting for delivery on the Refrigerator since 10/15/2020. That's right 5 months. Do not believe the buy it today and it will be delivered on 03/10/2021. Liar Liar pants on Fire!!!
Walls freezing up, lights constantly went out, condenser freezing up etc. etc. 8 Months later still waiting for the supposed Master Protection replacement fridge to arrive. Sears is not what it use to be!
