Warranty issue 2 months in

The electronic panel on the washer is very hot all the time. I finally called on this and the customer service rep didn't listen. Actually I used the chat application so I had a record of what I said and how he didn't listen. It did escalate to a service appointment The representative listed it as non warranty and that I was complaining about hot water. I said many times, hot electronic panel. He would say hot water runs through that. Seriously, common sense tells you hot water is not near the electricity. Anyway, service tech was great. He considered it a fire risk, ordered parts and is who told me how the customer service rep listed the issue. He said they never get it right. Today he came to fix it and he said they wanted to charge me for it. The tech argued that for me too.

I love this dryer. Dries really fast and the steam function has been a life saver for bustling back to school mornings.

Electronic panel diwes after less than three months

|

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! It worked well for a little over two months and then the electronic control panel died. Sears failed to honor its warranty. It took the position that, since we had did not return the product within 30 days (when it was still working), we had to go through Sears' dreadful repair service. Translation - make an appointment for the repair to come and "assess." Order the part. Wait for the part to come and then make a separate appointment for the repairman to come and install the part. We have been waiting over two weeks for a "part" to a new dryer that we paid over $800.00 for less than three months ago -- a dryer that Sears refuses to replace until it is convinced that the dryer cannot be repaired. So much for the Sears warranty!!
