Lots of Room for Large Loads
Fresh and Ready
Smarter Drying Power
I though I had a really big drum in my old unit but this one takes the cake! It is wonderfully large.....enough to do bedspreads.....just like the laundromats! I love the steam touch up mode for when I can't get to fold the wash in time!
I decided to write this review after a terrible customer service experience over the phone. I am a very busy mom of 5 who does several loads a day. Thus, I put off calling about the INSANE amount of lint escaping from all seams of this dryer until today. After speaking with the rep, they told me there would send out a tech but they probably would just turn on my dryer and if it worked there would be nothing that could be done. I really wish I could attach pics to show how lint is escaping in huge amts from every metal seam of this dryer on all sides. I must wipe down surfaces daily and keep the laundry door closed or lint is everywhere!!! Hoses have been checked. Lint is coming from machine crevices out. This is not only a nuisance but a fire hazard and sears does not seem concerned.
best capacity heat and steam option can throw anything at it. the matching washer is also a must .
I purchased this large dryer because I have boys. The dyer would take all day to dry clothes. The electric board went out twice. The start button never worked after that. So I was unable to even start a load of clothes. I threw it out & got a dryer with push knobs. Horrible dryer it didn't even last a year without messing up. I had it installed by Sears. I was so disappointed.
The motherboard went out after 2 years. Will not buy again
Bought this dryer not out of need but wanted one to match the washer and mine was 18yrs old and figured it did not have long to go.
Right out of the box I had trouble with it. If I set any of the settings to auto dry it would start out at the set minutes and before 10mins passed it would add an HOUR! If I checked the load after 45 mins or so everything was dry but the dryer would keep going to finish up all the extra added time, hour+ with it empty. Even just running it empty the machine would add an extra hour. It had nothing to sense that was wet so why add more time? I had 4 repair calls and after hours of wasted time, more $ in parts and labor than what I paid for the dryer still no one knew how to fix it. They basically replaced everything but the drum and outside shell.
Sears would NOT swap it out for a replacement , said I had to have at least 8 service calls before they would consider it so I got the salesman at the store to do it. Got the new one delivered yesterday and its doing the exact same thing. The delivery men said they had already picked up 10+ of these returned.
This one has to go too...wish me luck!
