It's big, efficient, beautiful, sleek, and has an interior light. Haven't used the shoe rack yet but nice touch. The sensing cycles allow for a customized drying experience. It cuts down unnecessary drying time and protects your fabric from over-drying. Looks great next to it's partner, the Kenmore Elite top-loader washing machine (6.2 cf).
The Belt drive for this dryer is terribly undersized. 1/4" belt for 9.2 Cubic feet. . .let's do the math on this. . .if a dryer of this size is half full, lets just say 4 cubic feet. we clothes contain water @ 67 lbs per cubic foot. that calculates out to over 250 lbs for a typical load. this belt does not have steel braiding either. a replacement pulley, tension pulley and belt of a minimum of 1 inch should be required. these are 5 star machines put together with a 1/2 star belt. please provide your valued customers with a retrofit kit containing upgraded belt drive system (and have the belt available for those that think that this review is audacious) 3 weeks with out a dryer is (insert adjective).

Horrible product. The day they hooked it up it was already messing up: stops in the middle of drying, the sensor doesn't work properly, the **** sometimes works and other times only lets you select one side (and not the other), and then there are the times it just flat out turns off.
We've already had to replace the board once. Customer Service, Parts Dept. Warranty Dept. are all HORRIBLE! We've been dealing with this for four months now---two of those months the dryer completely didn't work---and now we're fighting to get a refund.
The tech said it's a design flaw and can't be fixed. Sears didn't even want to replace it! Finally, we said "enough is enough" and demanded a refund. Now, we're stuck with a washing machine that won't match the dryer.
When I say we've spoken to three dozen people at Sears I'm not exaggerating. They all point to someone else who then points back to the other person. Things break; lemons get out there. But, Sears won't honor their own product or warranty. We finally had to call them out on social media which is the ONLY reason it might finally get replaced. HORRIBLE customer service. Just disgusted by every single person we've talked to. Not one has helped us get this resolved.
In the meantime, it's been over a month (this go around) and we have no way to dry clothes so I get to go to the laundry mat on the weekends (rather than spend it with my 3 year old son).
Beware! Kenmore/Whirlpool parts are always unvailable. They advertise that they are available but they ARE NOT! You have to wait forever to get parts for Kenmore dryer glass doors. They advertise they are available but they are not. They are always back ordered or don't exist. No one knows what's going on when it comes to ordering glass replacement doors. After years, my dryer glass door shattered. Ordered July 2019, still waiting for part to arrive.
