We have had this refrigerator a little less than a week and like the roominess and most of the features, however the inside door of the Grab N Go door periodically unlatches by itself. I noticed this same comment on another review for a different exterior color. Sounds like this may be an issue since it is doing it so soon. Otherwise we like the appliance.
Compressor went out after only 15 months. Bought the extra warranty (which was expensive). Compressor seems to be a common things to go out on this fridge. Found out that compressor is back ordered, and maybe after 2 months of being without my fridge, it might get fixed. The problem is that it is made by LG and parts are hard to get in a timely manner. Not happy! It's a shame because I love the design of the fridge.
Compressor went out less than 2 years under warranty, but could not get through to costumer service always busy and had to pay over 1500 for new compressor
Save yourself a HUGE headache and don't buy this refrig. We purchased this one in Jan 2018 and now it's Dec 2020 and the compressor has stopped working. Sears repair service is a NIGHTMARE!!! It took them a week to schedule a service and the guy walks in for 5 min to say "yea the compressor is torn up so I will let them know" the next day Sears sends a text saying it will be 3 WEEKS before they send someone to repair it. So that's nearly a MONTH without a refrigerator. I will NEVER buy from Sears again and it used to be the only place we bought our appliances from but NEVER again!!
Love this refrigerator! Spacious, quite, easy access and simple controls.
This refrigerator the compressor went out the within the first 8 weeks. Also the water tastes aweful. Please be aware sears came out and replaced 7 parts and the compressor on my refrigerator. The last technician cut all the copper pipes. Now this is a brand new refrigerator and after 9 months they are finally going to replace it. Please BE AWARE this is a BAD refrigerator. Apparently all Sears Kenmores and Elites and LG refrigerators have BAD COMPRESSORS very costly you will loose all your freezer food and food. They are not good products when we were shopping for new refrigerators we had to contact the parts department to go over all the parts that are faulty with all the sears products. SAMSUNG refrigerators that they sale all the ice makers go out and freeze up and therefore you get water all over your floors. CALL PARTS before you buy any refrigerator from SEARS. Please it will save you alot of headaches. You can give them the model numbers you are looking at and they can tell you if there are any pulls meaning bad parts on the model number of refrigerator you are purchasing. IT has taken 9 months now no refrigerator finally decided on a GE Model there were no parts issues thus far on the model we decided to purchace.
You will love this fridge for 1-3 years, then the nightmare begins. We've had it under 3 years (August 2016 purchase date) - freezer and fridge around 30 degrees warmer than the setting (40f / 55F). Compressor is running, no signs of leaks, fans running, etc. Sears not helpful. Repairman available in 10 days for "diagnosis and estimate" - that's $90. Story after story about these units going out like this, and becoming a problem year after year. We are cutting our significant losses and purchasing new again. I will sell you this unit today for $500 if you are willing to chance the repair. Seriously, look elsewhere. Get something with a better standard warranty. There is a reason Sears pushes that home warranty so hard. My Frigidaire in the garage that's over 10 years old going strong, this massive beast can't make an ice cube or keep meat from spoiling. 100% honesty here. Don't make this mistake.
