Research led us here

In our quest for the right fridge, we did extensive research and read thousands of reviews. Sears’ Warranty Plan FAR EXCEEDS the cheaper plans offered at big box home stores and delivery was fast, free and flawless. This particular fridge has SOOO MUCH SPACE! With the ice maker in the door, we are able to keep open shelf space plus still get to keep door shelves as well. With “Accela Ice” it was able to keep up perfectly well with out of town guests. We also like that no ice cubes get stuck in the chute nor do they fall all over the floor; so helpful when filling many children’s cups each day. The freezer also has lots of space! Overall it’s beautiful and is performing very well! Even our produce is lasting MUCH longer. We’ve only had 2 weeks so far and will update if any issues arise.

Short life span

Loved the size and function of this fridge. 2 weeks past warranty - it died. Not the 'hey I need a new part' kind of death but the 'someone put a faulty wire somewhere inside my back and no one can find it' kind of death. 3 repair visits 24 days without a fridge too many customer services failures to count Diagnosis - not repairable - sorry. $99 please. Avoid this LG Re-labeled fridge unless you love the size and convenience and only need it for a year or two... :( Lemon? Maybe Happy to try again if Sears will extend the warranty or replace it.... otherwise - shopping elsewhere.

Never Again!

Like others, I researched this fridge thoroughly prior to purchase and at the time it had good reviews. Two years into it and it is inoperable. Ice maker quit working within a year and now the condenser is out. Technician said that this is a very common issue with this model and they can't get them in quick enough. After two missed appointments by Sears they finally arrived to install the new compressor. After cutting my old one out and installing the new one, he realized the brand new one did not work at all. I have now been waiting for a week since the last service call and still do not have a working fridge. Sears customer service desk is totally worthless and can't help in any way whatsoever. They can't give me a status on the parts or any info re: the status. They are all very difficult to understand and communicate and simply read a script with every answer. I am very disappointed with the service I have received since this particular issue started over a month ago. This was a waste of $3000. I will never again purchase a Kenmore appliance or any other appliances from Sears!

Should have listened to the reviews

Bought this fridge around July 20 and as of yesterday the so called "smart" refrigerator icon lights go out and it shows an error message on the inside of the fridge. Thus nothing works. I unplugged it and plugged it back in hoping that it would reset itself and the icons became lit again. However, this happens about every 4 hours. I called for repair today and the earliest they can come out is Saturday and today is Monday. Lucky me.
