I spent a lot of time researching appliances I didn't want to spend $15,000 so I went back to Sears and I am not disappointed. Â I love my counter depth refrigerator it holds everything I need it's very spacious and I'm so pleased. Its quiet and I don't understand the Â reviews that said the icemaker is noisy it is not . Â I know the product is made now by LG but so far I've been very pleased with my purchase it's been a little over a month and I have no complaints !
POWERBOARD WENT OUT IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS AND I COULD NOT GET SEARS TO REPAIR IT IN LESS THAN 9 DAYS. ORIGINALLY THEY SCHEDULED REPAIR FOR 15 DAYS! WHO CAN DO WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR FOR 9-15 DAYS?!
Less than 4 years after purchase of this item it stopped working. Sears repair tech can't come out for 3 weeks. My repair guy says it can't be fixed. Original sticker price on this fridge was over $3500. Now it's nothing but a boat anchor. And Sears/Kenmore/LG will do nothing to help.
The cooling system died after only 4 years of use and Sears is horrible at taking any responsibility even though I have a 5 year warranty. Will be a long battle. Move on to another brand.
BEWARE!! Our Kenmore Elite fridge is new but no longer works due to a failed compressor which is a widespread issue in the Kenmore Elite line. Because this issue is so widespread, Sears repair is backed up by several weeks, they can’t keep up with the need for repairs in these (this is verbatim what they repairman told me). These are manufactured by LG and cannot ship the parts in less than 3 weeks. We will have been out of a refrigerator for over one entire month because the part is back ordered (which is $900) and they can't schedule us for another 10 days to repair for another $500. And our fridge is new!! DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM SEARS!! In the event that they break down they can't actually fix them within days, expect to wait weeks. And if you call for an appt expect for long wait times, automated recordings and plain incompetence. I learned my lesson the hard way, please learn from my mistake.
I have purchased Sears appliances and Craftsman equipment for many years, close to 40 years. I purchased this refrigerator in Nov 2015 along with a 3-yr protection plan, playing $3,124.06 . At exactly 3 yrs, 6 mos, it stopped working. I paid Sears close to $100 to come diagnose the problem. The condensor and one evaporator were broken. Labor at least $400, parts another $400, but he wasn't exactly sure that was the problem. What a piece of junk! I expected more than that from Sears. Very disappointed and have gone with a different brand and company.
We purchased this refrigerator 1.5 years and compressor failed! We have not had working refrigerator for over 4 weeks and counting! We have had 4 visits from Sears Repair and still no working refrigerator. Sears Customer Service takes and hour to call and are not helpful. One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. Takes weeks for parts. I REPEAT- DO NOT PURCHASE FROM SEARS!!! If you still feel you must, purchase "OUTSIDE" warranty service. GOOD LUCK!
