Double Your Goodness
Cooked to Perfection
Convenience is Key
Looks great with the rest of our applicances. Love the blue interior. Like the smaller upper over and bigger lower oven.
Lower oven at 400 degrees convention mode heats stove glass top to untouchable. On 11/2/2018 Sears reps. unwilling to accept return after 31 days. Claiming 1 day past return policy. Safety defect and potential fire hazard does matter? We don't recommend this Sears product...
I have owned this stove now for over two years. At first I was liking all the features but the more I used it for my favorite recipes, especially for baked goods including cookies, cakes and breads, I found the heating consistency and dependability was extremely lacking. yes, I did the calibration thing. BUT still when the top oven says preheated to 350, it actually was NOT at 350 but took another 15 minutes to reach 350. The lower larger oven took an additional 20 minutes to reach 350. Non of my baked goods have turned out satisfactory from these ovens and I've been an avid baker for many years. I am so discouraged, but by the time I realized all of this, it was too late to return the oven. So now I'm stuck with it for now. All baked goods take way longer than the directions call for. The heat is not consistent even after waiting the extended time to heat the oven. Sad baker:(
I read a lot of reviews when I started picking out a stove with double ovens. I considered scratches on the smooth top, the ovens not staying at temperature, more browning towards a particular side, the power receptacle needing to be recessed in the wall, hot surface temp indicator for each burner, timer for each oven, light for each oven, knobs vs. flat panel buttons, warming drawer, how low the bottom door is to the floor (bending down to get food out), exposed elements in the floor of the oven (cleaning purposes), and timer signals. I can say after all that, I am impressed with this stove. I baked bacon in the top oven and it came out brown and crispy, no variance in color either direction. I use the top for anything I want crispy on the top and bottom. I reheated some pizza and it came out perfect, crispy on top/bottom but soft on the inside with a correct amount of melted cheese. Next, we baked a cake in the lower oven and it converted the degrees automatically for convection baking and came out perfect. The top cleans up nice. We are still using our cast iron pans (we just don't move them around). I really enjoy the flexibility of changing the size of the burner. We didn't have to recess the receptacle in the wall. It has separate hot indicators for each burner, both ovens have separate lights and timers and controls. This stove does not have the warming drawer but the lower oven is low and bending (with knees) is not that bad after all, and the element in the lower oven is hidden. It has the flat panel buttons (no problems so far). The signal for preheating and timer is a melody played. It is loud enough for me. The burners seem to heat up quickly so we now reheat the coffee pot on the back burner. I don't usually review items, but like I said.....I was impressed.
So far so good the range and oven work perfectly. My wife loves the way the range looks with the rest of the appliances we have. Hopefully it won’t let us down like the last we one we had.
I ordered the stove online through shop your way which gave me a big discount plus I had points to use, and an extra savings for using my sears credit card saving me over 1000 dollars with free shipping. What a great deal, experience and product.
