I just got mine and I have to tell everyone to read your manuals! Luckily I do. I just happened to read the reviews here today for giggles and noticed the first two reviews people were complaining about the tanks. The manual says that the right tank empties first. Until the right tank is empty the left one will remain full. I've been using mine for a few days now and BOTH TANKS WILL EMPTY. The right one goes first and once its totally empty the left one will empty. Some people could save themselves a lot of money and time if they'd read the directions. Glad I was taught to do that....lol. Thanks Kenmore for the great products. This is my third and I'll continue to get more.
Purchased this humidifier on Oct 28 2013...it's now Nov 4 2013 and the unit has quit working. The display stays on reads so called current humidity in house but I have a separate readout that says it's 10% less humid in the house, so not accurate. Even if I turn humidity level up and fan speed to F3 it does not turn on. I have followed all the instructions for setup which is basically making sure it's level, placed away from heat duct, away from outside wall. It has water, float is activating switch for fans but nothing. Frustrating part is emptying and boxing the unit back up for return and also finding out after being on hold for sometime with my local Sears store that the 2 units they are showing as being in inventory are not, they have no replacement for me. What has happened to Kenmore products? Made in ?
I am very pleased with the quality of this product, it was supposed to be a 2 day wait for delivery but was on my door step the next day!! love it
I ordered a new humidifier from Sears.com because it was out of stock in our local stores. I paid full price, but free shipping was a nice feature. I received a used humidifier with dents in the top and used filters with water stains installed inside. I returned the used humidifier to our local store and they were very helpful on refunding my money. I was very disappointed to not receive a new product.
Only problem we found was one of the two hinges was broken when we opened the box upon delivery. Because replacing something like this is such a hassle, we just kept the unit with a broken hinge. Other than this, it seems to be working very well.
I have not been able to get filters for this thing any where, I only bought it less than a year ago. They are out of stock everywhere. Finally got an answer from a seemingly the last place to have them and they will no longer be making them.. which means only thru Sears. Tried calling Kenmore support being that it has been less than a year (3 months use) and I spent $200 on the unit... all Kenmore links and numbers lead back to sears. Not happy 30 plus year sears customer.
Cheap little valve cap first time putting it in. Checked replacements parts and 2 caps plus shipping costs more than the entire unit brand new. Would not recommend buying this unit.
Get a protection plan because you'll need it. This is my second one and it didn't last the season.
Like all of Sears Kenmore products, these humidifiers are built well, look good, perform great and are priced right.
I have asthma and live in a dry area. This is the best thing that I have gotten to help me with my asthma! I wore out the first one I bought and then purchased another one. It works great have had one in my house for many years!
