Expect failure in 12-24 month

Purchased Feb 2017. Stopped cooling Aug 2918. Finally repaired Sept 11, 2018 with new compressor and coil installation. Quit cooling again-two days later-Sept 14 2018. Compressor failure is common in this model according to the repair technician-LG parts.

have it

I gave it one star because it wouldn't let me continue without a rating.

Worked great for approximately 1.5 years. Nothing but problems and multiple delayed appointments from sears repair. Been without a refrigerator for months now. They fix it and i get a week or two before it goes out again. Then its a month before they come back. LG makes this model for Sears. POS! Just run and buy something else. I'm fresh out of surgery emptying and filling ice chests while owning $2700.00 Sears Pro Refrigerator!

Love the fridge

Love the space and all the features. I purchased the extended warrantee and I'm glad I did. 3 years and it quit working. Sears was great about total replacement. It was a process that takes patients. Sears gave us (without prorating the old one) a new upgraded fridge. I really liked the old one so I got the same one (a little bigger and is a smart refrigerator). Didn't think I needed it to be a smart fridge but it is really handy. Especially if you have a family. While at work you it sends you a message if the door is open. Also you can check the temp in fridge and freezer. Glad I have the smart fridge since we had problems with the last one. I had a different brand and it went out after 4 years too. ALWAYS PURCHASE EXTENDED WARANTEE! Sears is great for straight replacement , I didn't have to come up with any money for the new fridge. I gave it a 4 star because I had trouble with the old one. It didn't deter me from getting the same one again.

Sears should be embarrassed

|

The unit so inferior they are back ordered on replacement parts. Sears offered to pay for parts but charge for me labor ($405), plus the $95 diagnostic visit, 3 week part delay, and over $200 in lost groceries. Amazing bad product and service, Sears. Kenmore used to be the workhorse, no more.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

If I could give this zero stars I would. I did a lot of research and talked my husband into spending a crazy amount of money on this refrigerator 3 years ago. Two and a half years in, the refrigerator stopped working. Completely. After calling Sears Home Repair, it was determined that the compressor was shot - which is apparently very common in this make/model. So, essentially the refrigerator needed a heart transplant. I had to pay close to $400 for the labor, Sears picked up the part. At this point, the fridge started "working" in that it is cold... but the freezer does not get cold enough to keep foods frozen. And now the ice maker won't work (because the freezer won't get cold). Sears Home Services came out again and replaced the ice maker - for $600 - and the ice maker still won't work. Next technician says I need a computer board - not a new ice maker that repair was made in error - but the computer board isn't manufactured any more. So now, I have a fridge that doesn't work, and I'm about an additional $900 with Sears Home Services.
