Had a 12 year old version, but this one is much better.

|

Probably the biggest improvement is the way the doors open! Old model really was extremly hard, at times. The design of ice tray is much better. Digital temp read out is a great feature. Only negative is the delay in the lights coming on when opening door. Door arlound 50%+ open before lights come on.

Excellent Refrigerator

|

When we remodeled our kitchen about 3 1/2 years ago, our new appliances included the Kitchenaid built-in refrigerator. We liked it so much that when we moved to a new townhouse in January, 2014, we did not want the refrigerator that came with our unit, and instead we bought another Kitchenaid built-in refrigerator. In addition to the mechanics of the refrigerator itself, we also liked the fact that that we could purchase panels to match our new kitchen cabinets. The refrigerator looks great with the matching panels.

Wonderful addition to our custom kitchen!

This is a great refrigerator - having the custom panels allows this appliance to flow beautifully with our custom cabinets. Many guest have actually asked where our refrigerator is!

1st one was a lemon and had to be replaced. This one hasn't worked properly in 6 months and can't be properly repaired.

Pray your control board does not go out. They ship it off because no replacement parts are available so they have to have rebuilt. 2weeks/$500.00 later fridge works
from August 26- September 11. Now what?!
Can not even count the amount of money I have had to throw away
It does look nice if you do not need to keep food cold.
