Coffee the Way You Want It
My wife and I bought this appliance a month ago. Don’t understand Peoples complaints about it. Brews great coffee and it comes with a water filter (we just use purified water rather than have to use the filter and replace it).. it makes a beloved three light beeps when the coffee is done and it is delicious! Love the way you load coffee beans which is distinct from other coffee makers, overall 5 star product we got it on sale too which was a plus! Sweet deal that Was out of this world!
I bought this coffee on Jan 6 2017 and quickly discovered that I was unable to extend the warm time past the 2 hour limit. I contacted Kitchenaid customer service and was told that I would need to wait 3-5 minutes after the 2 hour warm period before I could reset the warmer plate. Shortly after that the coffee maker failed and Kitchenaid replaced it. I received the replacement and discovered that I still am unable to extend the warm period beyond the initial 2 hours. I again contacted Kitchenaid support and this time I was told that this model will not allow you to extend the warm period past the initial 2 hours. No where in the instructions or on the box does it say that the warm period is limited to 2 hours. This is something that should have been stated on the box and in the instructions. While this machine makes great coffee the warm period limitation has forced me to reduce the rating to 2 stars.
We bought this coffee maker a year ago. We’ve had no issues with it, it suddenly stopped working. And as luck would have it, our warranty just expired. This coffee maker is definitely not worth the money. Wehad a cheaper Mr. Coffee that worked for years. We need a new coffee maker and we’ll definitely not be getting another KitchenAid.
