Flex edge beater

This KitchenAid - 4.8 L Tilt-Head Flex Edge Beater is one of the best attachment of all time especial when baking a cake or baking period! It saves me time because i dont have to keep scraping my mixture off the side of the bowl Its definitely worth it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Disappointed

I received this as a gift about a year and finally just got the chance to use it. The motor overheated on the first use! The cookie dough was a little thick but I made sure I was on a low setting and used the correct mixer attachment. Over all very disappointed with the performance just on the first use. I grew up watching my mom use a Kitchenaid mixer and hers lasted 15 years doing the same recipe I was doing today. They just dont make things as good quality as they used too.

Not nearly as good as our previous KitchenAid mixe

|

We replaced an old KitchenAid mixer that had served us well for many years with this new one when the old one suffered an electrical problem. It was immediately apparent that the quality isn't what it used to be. The fit and finish of the attachments is poor. The speeds are not constant. It heats up way too hot when kneeding bread dough. They did away with the little spring on the attachment shaft that kept the attachments firm ,and I could go on, but just reiterating we wish we had purchased another brand this time around. NON-RETURNABLE, NON-REFUNDABLE ENGRAVED MIXER

|

Please read carefully prior to having your mixer engraved. Customized item is non-returnable, non-refundable. Even if their cancellation policy states that you can cancel the order as long as it has not been shipped or delivery process has not been started, the customer service rep cant do anything about it. They do not have a customer service email or at least a cancel order button to make things easier. No one answers the chat, and I was on hold for more than an hour before a rep answered my call. The item has not been shipped, and it has not been engraved because the first rep I spoke with asked what color do I prefer if I like to change it but I insist on cancelling my order and she said shell try but not a guarantee. I called again and was on hold for an hour, and followed up on the cancellation. The second rep did not see anything that was done to my prior request. It was not cancelled. So because I initially chose engraving, they cant do anything about it. Id say engraving is not a smart choice. Kitchenaid, please add manpower to answer phone calls, or an email ad for queries, or at least a cancel order button to make things easier for everyone. I wasted my day trying to cancel my order. The item has not been shipped when I spoke with the first rep, so why it wasnt cancelled?

Doesn't mix smaller quantity

|

Just upgraded my 4 1/2 qt ksm90 for the ksm 150 artisan. My first use was an often made biscotti starting with 1/4 c butter and 1 cup sugar. The mixer simply smeared the ingredients on the sides of the bowl, did not mix them! I always made this using the ksm90. This expensive mixer is a huge disappointment. I have not read about this issue after much research prior to buying. My ksm90 was used for everything from small batch to big cakes and breads. My new ksm150 machine is likely malfunctioning or I shouldn't have given away my most trusted ksm90. I don't know where to turn. Is there a 4 1/2 qt bowl for use with smaller qtys? Will the flex paddle help? The mixer is so expensive, I hate to take on add'l cost especially not knowing if this can be remedied. Please someone at Kitchenaid help with a solution to this dilemma.
