Great mixer for the everyday baker.

I had the 6 qt pro but no place to leave on my counters. I passed it on to my daughter-in-law and it's on her counter and being used a lot. I am enjoying having my smaller model out and available for my use at any time. I am enjoying it just as much or more than my first one.

Not impressed

I had an Oster Kitchen Center that lasted 25 years with no problems. The motor just finally wore out. I replaced my Oster with the Artisan Kitchenaid. The first year was great but the machine did not perform to my expectations after that. The lock does not hold. It always works its way out. The bowl does not stay locked in place. I make a lot of bread. I can only make 2 loaves at a time and even then I have to hold the bowl in place. It can get tricky to use sometimes because as I am holding the bowl in place the top is jumping up and down because the lock is not holding. Sometimes I have to ask another family member to either hold the top down or have them turn off the machine. I just don't have enough hands to use the machine. Will not buy another one of these. I will spend the extra money on a Bosch next time.

KitchenAid Artisan 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer

|

Had the mixer a little more than a month. Have made awesome whipped cream and reduced cooking time by about an average of 10 minutes per meal. Love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
