Purchased for sandbox. this is good washed sand. Perfect for any child. No debris. Great for sand castle making!
I particularly HATED this sand. I bought 3 bags, but I guess that you get what you pay for. First off, all of my bags had holes in them and were POORLY scotch taped over, secondly, the false advertising of these bags to cover "5 square feet" it utterly obscured. One bag didn't cover 2 square feet for us. For some reason, the sand was SOAKED upon opening, not my own doing and no - it wasn't raining or humid on pick up day. As far as the quality of the sand, as far as I can see, it is clean, it is the consistency of WET beach sand - good for making sand castles, but only if you have several bags. Extremely disappointed in the product. Would not recommend, will not be buying it again.
Very Clean Sand, Sometimes Play Sand Says Pre-Washed but Turns Out to be Full of Krudd. Perfect for Use in Sandbox, Play Tables or Terrariums. Great Price Too! My Son's Hermit Crab Approves.:)
I'm working on a project and wanted to color sand. White sand. The picture shows brown sand, but the description says "white play sand." Ummmmm, it's brown; believe the picture. I ordered online and picked up in store and didn't even think of looking at it as it was already sacked up.
The description says "Sand is washed and screened." Evidently they use a screen with large holes since I removed a couple 1" rocks.
I have the sand now colored (blue is green because I started with brown sand, so not usable for this project, but the orange is ok). Waiting for it to dry. Yes, it is wet as another reviewer said. No biggie. It keeps it from coming out of the air holes in the bags.
On the plus side of this sand - I had great memories of relaxing at the lake as I was working with the wet sand. Why? I do believe they took a bunch of sacks and screens to a lake and sacked the sand on site.
I am recommending simply because it's sand and all that, BUT beware that it is indeed brown and you may find a rock or two.
Two stars, though, because it is brown (not white as is written) and you may find a rock or two.
