We are happy with our new refrigerator. The only hiccup we have seen is that we have a bit of frost on the front of the upper drawer of the freezer. We are watching it and I may have to call if it gets worse. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Compressor went out after 2 yrs/3 months. 5 yr warranty. Only Sears store closed in Western Colorado nearest repair person is 60 miles away.
I like the doors but really don't need the clear door because no one uses it. they still open both doors and stare into the whole Refrigerator.
We bought this fridge 4 months ago. It is our first french door refrigerator and we really appreciate the space and layout of french doors. The freezer is nice, albeit sometimes if something is too big the shelves won't close and we won't know the freezer door is open because it only beeps for a bit. Also, the freezer door handle has already fallen off and despite my putting it back on and having LG authorized repair people come out it still seems to be an issue. Temperatures seem great (not using a refrigerator thermometer) although I cannot keep anything that spoils easily in the door as that seems slightly less cold than the interior of the fridge. But the door is great for drinks, butter and similar items that don't need it to be super cold. Overall, like the fridge despite the issues and quirks.
I have had my for two years and have never been more pleased with a refrigerator than I am with this model. The unit holds consistent temperatures in the refrigerator and freezer, and I really enjoy having the remote ability to control it through my LG phone app. The ice maker has performed well, and I make use of the "tap on light window" quite often. I also want to mention that the exterior filtered water dispenser provides the family with great tasting water. Highly recommend this product to anyone considering a new purchase.
the lever to open the instaview door was broken within 3 weeks, Sears has refused to assist me and I continue to have this fridge. I've had to contact the actual store to get some assistance, LG sent someone out and confirmed it's broken - i don't want someone to fix a 3 week old fridge when i just bought it. I wanted an exchange back on 8/6/19 now 8/21/19 I want my money back and nothing to do with Sears.
Bought few months ago . Very attractive and functional . Ice machine is very noisy though . And the top freezer bin freezes over . Like being able to tap the window and see inside the door . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
