Only 3 complaints

The drawers are really nice especially the lower wide drawer. The in-door ice machine allows for more usable shelf space and the freezer down below is a good size and a must have. I have only three complaints and I hope LG is listening because they are obvious design issues that could have (should have) been addressed before selling these. 1. The doors are LOUD when closing and the right door doesnt close itself and stays just slightly opened if not pushed deliberately to close. Under the right door hinge, is a plastic spring designed to keep the door closed tight, but also hinders the closing process and stops the door from naturally closing. I removed it and the door closed naturally but not tightly so I added it back. A better hinge spring design is needed. 2. The shelves are sloppy and warp easily. They sag towards the middle even when empty. The center where two shelves join never stays connected and one shelf or the other drops lower at the center. I have to DUCT TAPE the two together to keep them from separating and sagging. The bottom shelf is a one piece design and it is solid and straight. 3. The door-shelves are in fixed locations. Many items do not fit as you cannot adjust the door-shelves up or down. All in all a very good fridge and even better if they fix the shelving and door issues. Terrible experience -

We bought this LG refrigerator in Apr 2013 and in May 2015 I had to replace the compressor, now in Oct 2017 there is a Freon leak in a sealed part that they need to cut open the fridge to repair. had to $260 dollars to find that out with the service fee, labor to identify the issue and to refill the Freon to keep us going till it empties again. There is no help from SEARS or LG to fix this, I have to pay labor every 2 years to repair one issue or another and already this appliance has cost me enough and more that i had to junk it after 4 years and buy a SAMSUNG. Save your money and buy another maker or DEFINITELY BUY THE WARRANTY BECAUSE THIS SUCKER DOESN'T EVEN LIVE BEYOND THAT. (Also a neighbour who bought a more expensive LG faced the same compressor problem in 2 years so something is definitely wrong here)

Great Fridge!

|

I have had this unit for about 6 months now and am really happy with it. The air filter service light just came on this morning and other than that, I've never had to touch a thing. Really roomy, easy to use, and it'll chill anything you put in it very fast. On top of that, it didn't drive my light bill through the roof despite being much larger than what it replaced.

Cons? Only one I've seen is that since the ice maker is internal to the fridge, if you leave something that has a strong aroma (garlic, onions, etc.) in the fridge it will give the ice a trace of the flavor and smell. It's not undrinkable, but I did notice it.

"Cool"

I left my other LG refrigerator in the home I just sold - It was an opportunity to enjoy a newer model, and this new LG is fabulous. Many added features, with the same reliability and performance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Bought this a few weeks ago. Very roomy, adjustable and the ice maker in the door appears to be a good design. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Best fridge o the market!

|

I have to tell you, I love my new LG fridge! I find it nicer and better quality than the Jenn Air we have at my work in the showroom. Model number is…LFXS28968D or LFXS28968S in stainless if you prefer. I looked for a long time for something sturdy enough to hold up against my rough bunch, who love to spill everything, so it had to be easy clean as well. The side door bins are a thick hard plastic with no seams, and the freezer base is solid as well. The glide and serve drawer is great for all the kids snacks, and the shelves have some adjust-ability, for all the juices and tall items. LG had moms in mind when they designed this one!
I have already recommended this product to some of my clients! Best fridge on the market, at a reasonable price! Great Job LG! Very rugged, classy, and elegant! I would love to hug the woman that took the time to think about making this such an easy clean! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
