We have had it for a month or two. Drawbacks: the deli drawer does not stay open. It automatically retracts. The freezer has some good features, but is partitioned into so many compartments that it is difficult to find things, even given the smaller space of a counter-depth fridge.
My wife wanted this for the bells and whistles. She like the middle drawer and door in door. I think its gimmicky and makes the refrigerator unnecessarily compartmentalized. But I can't fault the refrigerator for that you like it or you don't. The reason for my 1 start review is because the middle deli drawer does not stay open. It automatically retracts which drives me crazy. I would have not bought the fridge if I had known this. I think it is a major design flaw. My son opens it to get a snack, and the drawer closes on his arm. I can't return it either. So I'm stuck with a very expensive, child eating, refrigerator.
I think its cool! Love being able to see what I can grab for nightctimexsnack.
We've had this refrigerator for a few weeks now and are still adjusting to the change in spaces. We're really happy overall with the layout. Only thing that really bugs us is the shelf under the pull-out drawer in the freezer. It needs to be a little deeper and stay back with the drawer above it. Deeper, because, most things we try to put in it drag against the drawer above and the pull out drawer comes out, when the freezer drawer is opened. Eventually, we'll figure out what works best for that but the slide out shelf will always be in the way of the lower part of the drawer. We kept a couple of the useful items from our old refrigerator. It had a wine bottle holder that rested on the edge of a shelf and an egg bin that worked very well for us. Both are a good fit as our old unit was also counter-depth. Our favorite part is the door-in-a-door feature. We're giving a four stars rating because that shelf in the freezer is such a bother.
It's been 2 months since we started using the new fridge and we both just lover it. I had a dood-in-a-door before this one (different brand) but this one is much larger and I can check to see if the item I want is there. We both love that you can see everything so easily that not much is put away and forgotten until you end up throwing it away.

We have had the 23 cu.ft. counter depth 4-dr. French Door Instaview refrigerator for about 6 weeks and so far we love it. I am only giving it 4 stars as the icemaker tends to get "stuck" & jam up a lot and the middle drawer that you can vary the temperature does not stay open when trying to take out or put away. I use it as my deli and yogurt drawer and love it as I don't have to open the whole fridge just to grab lunch makings. The fridge is so well lit and designed so you can see everything. Therefore, not much gets hidden and ignored until it ends up having to be thrown out. My husband was a little hesitant considering the cost but he is now delighted and waxes poetic about how great it is. If I find any problems or additional comments down the road, I will amend my review. But for right now my opinion is that you won't regret getting this model of LG refrigerator.
