Love my new LG Electronic Range. I wanted an electric range with the burner nobs on the front so that a family member in a wheelchair could use the appliance. It is perfect for someone with special needs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
yes, it is mentioned in the manual, "be careful, don't slide your pots and pans around on the surface" ... but it is so delicate, even turning the pot to better grip the handle will mark up the surface we have stainless steel cookware [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
After delivery and setup, my wife cooked two batches of cookies in the oven and that was it. No oven or broiler. Two weeks before Christmas and we have no oven. Now it is New Years and no oven. The motherboard is shot and will need replacing. A brand new out of the warehouse range should not breakdown two weeks after initial use.
Wanted to share ... might seem like a no brainer.. but I lost the darn manual that I wrote the serial number on... REGISTER your oven when you have easy access to the serial number. LG site states for ovens to open the door, and it is under there. Well... let me tell you it is VERY VERY hard to read!! I'm going to HAVE to get my husband to pull it out from the wall!! So take a lesson from my failure, get your oven registered right away... and then save your manual with the information in a SAFE spot that wont get lost. DOH!
I wanted to replace my old gas range with an electric range with a convection oven. I was hesitant because I like the styling and quality of the range. Also, I wanted to avoid reaching over the burners for the controls: I wanted controls on the front rather than the rear. Pricing for what I wanted seemed prohibitive. After shopping around, I found this range which met most of my wishes. The price of this range (on sale) was the same that I paid for the gas range in 1998. The burners seem to heat somewhat faster than the old gas range so I am more attentive while cooking on the stove top. The only issue is that I feel somewhat constrained because of the burner arrangement (e.g., larger burner on the front instead of the rear). I preferred using the rear burners for the larger pots, however, I adjusted to the new order. Other reviewers commented that it was difficult to keep the stove top clean. I haven't had that problem. I don't know whether it is because I clean it every time I cook (to avoid build-up) or because I haven't used it long enough for the problem to surface. So far, so good.
I’ve had this beautiful range for three weeks now, and I’m more impressed every time I use it. Looks great, cooks great, easy to use. I couldn’t ask for more.
Even the simplest things - baked a frozen pizza, a brand I’ve eaten for years. I cooked it exactly the way I had before, except this time it was like I bought it from a pizzeria. The cheese was melted just right, the crust was just the way I like it. It may not sound like much, but it was ten times better than in the old oven.
Boiling water in a pot takes less time.
It’s a beautiful piece of equipment and the convection dan is is so quiet.
And the kitchen is so good looking now with my new LG dishwasher, stove and refrigerator.
My new countertops are ready for pickup, and I’m almost done remodeling the kitchen that I’ve waited years to do. Perfect! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We purchased a home a year and half ago. It had a 40” electric range in the kitchen. It stopped working about a month ago and parts were unavailable. It was 16 years old. We went to Best Buy and found the LG range. We love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
