Sleek, smooth and futuristic

This refrigerator completed my update of appliances to stainless steel. I love that it does not have door handles and that the freezer is on the top. It was also narrow enough to fit the space I have for it in my 35 year old home. The ice maker works well; the only noise you hear from it is when the ice maker fills and drops its cubes. The refrigerator motor is very quiet, you may notice it if you have the refrigerator door open. It does get fingerprints on it, and magnets do not stick to the front, but they will down the gray sides. The freezer has a wonderful light and the refrigerator has LED side lightening. Although the top back of the refrigerator is not as well lit as the side and front, I have no problem seeing what is stored in the back. The long drawer for cheese, bacon, cold cuts is wonderful, as is all the room on the door for milk jugs, wine bottles, salad dressing, etc. There is a place on the door to hold a butter dish, but not eggs. I purchased a separate clear container that will hold a dozen eggs and I keep it on one of the shelves inside the refrigerator. The only complaint I have is that I cannot remove the tag on the front of the freezer door that says Smart Inverter, this was not on the model at the store. However, it is a beautiful appliance and I hope to receive many years of service from it. I also wish to add that the Sears deliverymen were excellent bringing this refrigerator into my kitchen and installing it!

Honest Review

I am very limited on space and wanted the largest capacity refrigerator possible for that space. I read all the negatives, here is an honest review. The inside lighting is fine, the chime when the door is open to long is soft, short and helpful. All inside ice makers make noise. The inside is pleasantly spacious for that size refrigerator. Most if not all Refrigerators at this price point have hard plastic around the shelves. Just don't abuse it. Because it is oversized you do have to watch your feet when opening and closing. I bought the black steel and the front is very nice looking, nicer then the pic. The sides however are not black steel, but solid black, which is fine with me since both sides are hidden anyway.
* Most importantly you can not block the vents in the freezer. The vents circulate into the refrigerator. If you block the vents you will have problems.
Also the service guy from Sears who installed it was excellent! He went above and beyond. They were very careful not to ruin the floor or furniture. It is worth paying for them to install it and take the old one away.
I hope to be able to give an update after a year, but so far I am very happy with my choice.

really bad product- does not get cold enough

I bought this product few months ago, and I am very unhappy with it. My old refrigerator lasted for past 12 years and worked better than this. My milk and cheese gets spoiled way before its expiry dates, it just does not gets cold enough. Initially I thought its the feature of these new refrigerators to not get too cold but keep food fresh, but I doubt that. I think this product is too much into energy saving and not doing its primary job which is refrigeration.I have requested the repair service, hopefully they will be able to fix it somehow.

Nice Fridge

We've had this LG refrigerator for a couple weeks now. My wife and I both like it. Plenty of room in freezer as well as fridge. It is very quiet. Very appealing. Has nice functions. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Overall, seems to be a very nice refrigerator.

I’ve had this refrigerator for three weeks. Cools well, is quiet. But does seem to run a lot of the time. I live alone and don’t keep an excessive amount of things in the refrigerator - and I don’t open the foot frequently. Runs a lot more than my old refrigerator did.
