Laundry Done Right
Built for Better Operation
Designed for Convenience
I bought this a week ago and I was very excited, unfortunately it has an excessive vibration on a spin cycle, the whole house is shaking, we leveled this washer and put it on anti-vibration pads, this did not help. I think about returning this product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Our old washer broke, and we needed to purchase a compact one because the space wouldn't fit a full-sized one. I had read from Consumer Reports that this model has a lot of vibration, but an appliance repairman strongly suggested LG because of its reliability. I regret this purchase. We made sure to level it appropriately, but the extra-high spin cycle is totally unusable, producing nearly 70dBA of noise. The white exterior finish is already showing signs of wear (we've only had the machine for about 6 months). We're a household of 2 adults, so it's not as if we're hard on our appliance. It also doesn't clean particularly well, although that's not a big problem since we are not very messy (but don't expect stains on your napkins to come out). The issues are bad enough that I sometimes wish I had spent nearly double the money for a different product (which received better ratings for vibration and cleaning).
We have owned this machine over a year and absolutely love it. We got the condensing dryer as well. It does an amazing job and is quiet. We live in a small apartment and I built a closet area to stack the 2 machines.
There is a reason why top loading washers were invented and this machine is it. If you want mold washed into your laundry, buy this one. The soap drawer has to be removed and cleaned frequently; when you remove the drawer, look into the space it came out of and you will see mold in all the little tracks and crannies in there too; water, lint and pet hair get trapped between the rubber gasket and the machine rim so water trickles out during the cycles and the machine smells unless it is left open all the time - and sometimes even then - and the door sitting open gets in the way of everything else. I cannot WAIT TO GET RID OF THIS ANNOYING MACHINE. The only nice thing about it is the charming little tune it plays when the cycle is finished but that doesn't make me want to keep it.
Installed in my Redwood 5th Wheel. Ready to go for the winter season. Have not used yet but will file a future review.
I had this only 6 years and the bottom start leaking water
