Cycles To Remember
My husband and I have had this washer for quite some time now and I am extremely pleased with its performance. I never want to go back to a top loading machine ever again! This washer uses a lot less detergent than our old one and helps us save on energy costs, too. I love all of the different settings and the music it plays when a cycle concludes let's me know it's time to get to work.
This is the first high-end washer/dryer I've ever bought, so I was thrilled to get it. Little did I know I'd be replacing my clothes along with it. Everything is coming out rough with pilled up fabric. Anything cotton is wrecked so I'm replacing all t-shirts, kids school uniforms, etc. this is getting way too expensive so I'm handwashing all of it. I desperately wish I could return the thing, but unfortunately I can't. Last purchase of anything like it.
Some of the cycles are extremely long. Definitely read the manual first. Other wise looks good, works good.
This Washer has a design flaw in the detergent tray and there is always residual water after each cycle, which has slowly caused rust. I called the service department as soon as it appeared and their technician said it wasn't covered under warranty - EVEN THOUGH IT WAS CAUSED BY THE PRODUCT DESIGN not properly draining. Two separate technicians have told me they see this all the time and that the rust spot is a known problem with this model but Sears is not admitting or covering it under warranty. You can't return it, they won't fix it, and they don't cover it under warranty, so good luck...you have to buy a new washer.
Bought this to replace a 10+ year old LG washer. This came highly rated. Only had a few days so this is basically on install and research. Does fit the previous pedestal WDR3W. A little hard to carry since the only have one handle on each side. Otherwise identical to previous with the exception of a few bells and whistles.
Bought this as a replacement for my old LG WM3016CW washer which had started to leak. That washer lasted 13 years. This washer is similar but has a larger capacity drum and updated electronic controls. I have used this washer for about a week and I really love it. I can wash more clothes at a time because of the larger drum. This washer has a few more cycles than the old one and that makes sorting what to wash easier. The cycle times are similar to the old washer but the clothes seem to come out cleaner and softer. This washer seems to be a little noisier then the old washer when it is in the spin cycle but that may be due to the faster spin speed. The control panel can be difficult to read but if there is enough light it is no problem. I have not used the app yet but I will probably try it in the future. If someone is looking for a good front load washer without a lot of bells and whistles this is it.
