LG WT7200CW review

This is our first HE Washer and given the wide range of reviews of these new technology washers from all manufacturers I was a bit concerned. People either love them or hate them. After using our new machine for a week of so here are our conclusions: 1) read and follow the instructions - especially regarding proper loading and minimal use of detergent - and the machine cleans as well or better than our prior agitator model 2) the tub is deeper - we bought a folding stool for my wife to reach the bottom 3) one thing to improve - does not work as well with colorfast bleach such as Clorox 2 - the Clorox 2 is thicker/higher viscosity compared to regular bleach and does not drain as well into the washer .

Takes too long to wash

Bought this washer two months ago, when washing on a normal load (which should take 58 minutes which is long already) and doing sheets or towels, it could take two hours or more to wash a load. Same thing if you set it on bedding (which was even worse), had to stop the washer after 2.25 hours, set on spin only and wait another 15 minutes before I could dry my clothes. How is this high efficiency??? So disappointed, reviews were good, but I am very disappointed.

Main Control board died

|

I bought my washer on 4-23-17 and the main control board fried on 4-25 -18. I was able to do the reset 7 times in 3 months after the initial "no power" problem began. Now waiting 6 weeks for the part to be in stock. Meanwhile , bought a used Roper for $200. So after all said and done, this us costing me MORE than what I originally paid for that new LG washer.

Can't balance!!!

|

I agree with previous reviewers saying the machine won't balance itself, and won't let you balance without wasting 2 hours of everyone's time and money, water and electricity! If you do cancel and restart, it begins all over. Salespeople are of no help, only know how to sell stuff! My wife tried to use the CLEAN Function, and it too says Unable to balance . . . DUH! There is nothing in it to Balance? This machine needs serious help. Would Never recommend!!
