This is one hand truck that does it's job and more. I loaded two old refrigerators,I mean old, insulation soaked through and rotten,so they just about matched the rated load and with out a problem rolled'em out to my truck. I looked at several different brands and was sold looking at the features this hand truck had compared to theirs, METAL Hubs (NO PLASTIC),tubes w/metal valve stems, strong solid welds. MADE IN USA !!! This cart will be in my auto shop,so it's going to get abused. It's top quality and should last for years to come.
These have been around for years, but the quality sure hasn't kept up with the times. The manufacturer has been cutting corners by choosing cheaper components, especially over the last two years. As of 2014, the tires and wheels are the latest to suffer from the transition to mediocrity. You can find these on sale for as little as $50 now, but you get what you pay for. Don't expect the tires to remain inflated for more than a month or two and they won't stay inflated without investing in Fix-A-Flat. The wheel assembly is a real mess. Even after moving 150lb items, the ball bearings are quickly worn and the assembly literally bends from the weight, so now one of the wheels no longer touches the ground appropriately. Just stand on it sometime and watch the frame twist and bend. The weight capacity of 800lbs refers to moving items on gravity-challenged environments like the moon. Don't try it on this planet. You'll do much better with a 600 lb. Capacity Flow Back Solid Tire Hand Truck from Milwaukee, costing at least $20 less and can actually support that weight and has solid tires.
