Face it, you aren't going to get a bike shop quality bike at a retail store like Sears. However, if you are looking for a better than average bike at a reasonable price you can't do better than this. Just watch for sales and try and get this for at least $50 below sticker. I wouldn't recommend riding this on heavy trails frequently but for occasional trail use and commute this is a solid bike. Suspension is nice, shifting smooth and the ride solid.
I have had this bike 2 days , i have already had to pay to get the front wheel trued correctly and now i have to have to pay to have the rear spindle and barings replaced due to the fact they put a bent spindle is and now the wheel doesnt spin right, last of all i have to buy a new disc brake because its warped and i cant use the front brake ...i would return it but its just so much of a hassle it would cost me more in time than what i paid for it
Bike looks excellent and most parts were already assembled so its easy and quick to assemble the remaining parts.
I do have an issue that Front Wheel Quick Release is kind of not simple/easy, not sure whether I don't know how or its really hard.
Got this for my 14 yr old son for his birthday and he loves it. Has front disc brake and fromt and mid shock absorbers.
