This coffee maker is perfect for me. I only drink 1 BIG cup on the weekends, and a regular 12 cup coffeemaker never makes the coffee the right strength. I like it strong, and this one makes it easy to make it just right. Works fine and the price can't be beat.
I had to buy this twice in less than 6 months. Imagine my dismay when I tried making coffee and nothing happened. Believe it or not I went back to to the store and was given another one. Second coffee pot lasted less than 2 months, it just stops working and there's nothing you can do. I have always bought Mr. Coffee and this was unusual, however, very costly. I settled now for a Procter Silex and I hate it.
I RECIEVED THIS 6 YEARS AGO AND IT WAS ABOUT TWO YEARS OLD AND IT IS STILL WORKING!!!
I am wanting to brag on my coffee maker. About six years ago I went to a clothing resale shop thing. I was a single mom and had a lot going on. You could get a certain number of clothing items and household items. I got a small 4 cup coffee pot. At the time I got it I didn't drink coffee hardly. I now drink it daily. The coffee pot was a mr. coffee pot and I thought it was so cute!!! We were told it was donated and was only a couple years old. We have had it for 6 years and it still works wonderful!!! I am so glad to find a product that is still so amazing!! I really dread the day that it quits!!!! I just wanted you to know what a wonderful product you have!!!
My wife wanted a new coffee maker to replace our old, but reliable, Black & Decker model. Bought this model as it was attractive and matched other appliances. Within one month of daily morning use, it has developed several severe problems. It losses 1/3 of the water as steam out from above the pot while brewing. It takes 4 times as long to brew a pot than any coffee maker I've ever seen. It will sound chime when 2 cups have brewed with 6 still to go. Smells of burning coffee each time it is used. Finally, the carafe will not pour last coffee due to its shape. I expected so much more of a product from Mr. Coffee.
