Small is what I wanted and it has smallest counter footprint I could find. It is perfect for 2 X 8 oz Mugs of coffee when I fill to 3 1/2 line of water window. The line on decanter with 2 mark is only 9 1/2 oz. 2 real cups, 16 oz, is the bottom of delta symbol right above 3 on decanter. The first cup of joe is 170f and second is hotter at 175-180f because the plate does it's job for 1 hour then cuts off. That second cup tastes the best. The timer works well and survives short power glitches without resetting clock. Overall this was an excellent purchase and am very satisfied with joe it brews. Would recommend for single friends but also great for small kitchen or couple who usually only drink one cup each. Great brew for it's size.
I purchased this product about 2 weeks ago and could not get the clock to light up, so I sent it back for an exchange. The second pot had the same problem so I contacted the Mr. Coffee company only to learn that the is model does not have a back light. The manual is misleading as it says the clock is a handy kitchen clock -- wrong --you can't even see the time . I have used Mr.Coffee products for 25+ years and never experienced this sort of disappointment. Also, the lid is very difficult to close. When you slip the pot in, the filter was to pop up, obstructing the lid from closing tight. No more Mr. Coffee for me, time to move on.

I love it! I just need a coffee maker for me and this is perfect.
I've had it a few weeks now. Clock does not light up so kind of hard to set up. The delay brew works fine but you really have to look to see it as no light in the clock area. Everything works as it should except the light so not going to send it back. About the only small coffee maker with the auto shut off so for that reason I would recommend, with reservation.
I bought the older version of this coffeemaker about 10 years ago. The clock/timer had an LED display that was highly visible. Eventually, the burner surface got very rusty because I neglected to dry the carafe after rinsing it. I bought a new, nearly identical coffeemaker. The "new improved" version has an LCD display with no backlighting, and it is much more difficult to see. All other features are about the same, but that LCD display sucks! PLEASE Mr. Coffee.... PUT A BACKLIGHT IN THE DISPLAY!!!
