I've been using the 4-cup Mr Coffee both at home and at the office for year. They are terrific little coffee makers for individual, for small families, or for the office. Just enough to fill a 20 ox coffee mug or vacuum bottle, or enough for two cups at home. They do eventually need to be replaced; usually because the heating plate gets corroded, but they are so inexpensive that it's not a problem to buy anew one every few years.
Reading reviews seems only last 1 to 2 yrs not happy at all
So I was a bit annoyed to later see a cheaper same or similarly well know brand programmable version of this straight up on/of no other options brewer. It brews well and is a cute little 4 cup addition to any kitchen counter. Would have been nice if it came with just one or two filters.
I bought this to replace the old 4-cup Mr Coffee we had . This new one has very similar design (which I very much like) but the pot and lid design not so much. I find I must open the lid to pour otherwise the coffee spills NOT POUR out of the spout making a huge mess. Also, while holding the lid open the steam from the hot coffee is directed onto my hand. OUCH. In my opinion the pour spout should be larger like the original 4-cup Mr Coffee pot that we had to replace.
