The last treadmill I bought from Sears lasted 27 years so when it started acting funny I decided to buy a new one. I bought the treadmill Feb 20, 2017 and have been using it now for almost 3 months. This treadmill is nice and wide so when you walk or run you don't hit your hands on the side handles. I find it to be very quiet and a smooth walk. I use the basic functions....I get on it and pick a speed and then manually raise and lower the incline as I walk. I really like this treadmill a lot and would recommend it. I paid to have it delivered and put together, and to have my old one taken away. The set up was fast and well worth the money to have Sears do it for me. I also purchased the 5-Year In-home B.E.S.T NordicTrack Warranty. They come to your house once a year to do a maintenance check on it as well as fixing anything that breaks in the next 5 years. I believe paying the extra $300 was worth it for this service. I was nervous buying this treadmill because of some negative reviews I read here. But Sears told me I had 30 days to return the treadmill for any reason, and I figured 30 days would give me enough time to see if there were any problems. I also asked the delivery guys if I wanted to return it, would they come and take it away for me and they said yes. They come and take it out in one piece and it becomes a floor model. So I felt confident in purchasing this item knowing I could return it. Thankfully, I really love it! I'll also mention that many people said the pulse monitor didn't work properly. The manual says that this function is not to be used while walking/running, and should be used once you have stopped walking. I did notice that if I used it while walking, it gave me inconsistent readings that I know were wrong. But if I use it after I stop walking, the readings are more normal.
I purchased from Sears, and delivery team was great. They came on time and placed unit where I wanted it. The instruction manual and parts layout was very good. When the unit was put together, I noticed it was rather noisy, even at low speed of 1. Approaching 3mph and above, it had a loud whiny hum that just got louder. I called Nordic Track customer service and they advise to remove treadmill motor cover to aid with troubleshooting. I hang up and remove cover. I call back and wait about 15 minutes and tech asked a few questions and I turned unit on so he could listen and advise. He immediately determined it was a bad motor, and would order a new one to be shipped to me. I would have to replace it. Note: Unit is brand new but I do not have extended warranty. The following day, ICON emailed me requesting pics and video of motor while off and on the treadmill. I uploaded the requested videos. Now I am waiting for a new motor, and will update this review after motor is replaced. I am giving one star at this time, because of the extremely loud motor and lack of confidence in this product. The treadmill was replacing a compact treadmill which I used for 5 years-and that was never noisy like this. Very unhappy.
Sometimes when I turn on it starts to incline increase and I can't stop it. When it's in the maximum and stops I can decrease it. In the Manual doesn't say how can I interrupt it.
This will be the only brand I will ever buy! This is a great investment
Although I've only been using it for just over one month, so far the quality and features seem to be just what I've wanted. I don't expect to be giving it anything close to gym use and abuse but the unit seems sturdy and the features are just want most people would want for a home gym.
Quiet. good display which keeps you moving on :)
SO far so good, Quiet, has enough feedback features. Think I will have a more informed opinion after 500k.
