This is a newer version that does not take up as much space as some of the Ellipticals. Actually about the same space as some stationary bicycles.
I purchased this elliptical less than 3 months ago and paid for Sears to assemble. The left pedal is already broken - it makes a loud grinding sound and is almost impossible to move. I contacted Sears for repair but they said that I would be charged for it despite how recently the equipment was purchased and assembled.
My NordicTrack elliptical has been noisy from the moment I took it out of the box. After chasing down and receiving service, the noise persisted. The insurance/maintenance coverage is touted to be a 3 year plan, but no one will look at it until the manufacturer's warranty has expired. This means it's really a 2 year plan for the price of 3 years. When I brought this up to an associate, I could see the shrug over the phone.
I've had this machine for a little over a year and the pedals ended up getting jammed, NordicTrack voided my warranty because of rust on the the frame of the machine, the machine rusts easily even though I clean it after every workout
Worth the money and fits our needs well enough.
I really like the compact size of the unit. The price point was also at the right spot. The family likes it too.
We've had it for a month and it's been inoperable for almost half of that time.
