We bought this treadmill as an addition to the one that we have since I had worn out the motor from daily use. This one seemed reasonable and step up from the one we have (it's a Nordictrack too and got a new motor for it). This one went together fairly easily, instructions were clear and it only took hubby an hour or so. It runs GREAT, it's quiet, love the fan and the speeds and inclines. Love the pre-set workouts. Only one complaint and it's not a big deal, but the arms or handrails are a bit short. I like to steady myself during inclines and high speeds and the handrails make are a bit short to hold on to. The tread is longer then my old one, but hard to use that additional space without the handrails being longer too.
Upon Sears delivery and set up of this treadmill, the motor sounded whiney and strained. The belt seemed to drag and speed didn't seem consistent. I felt like the belt was a "tripping hazard". Between the tread- belt and motor issues this was one loud machine not worth the money. If it was such a rough ride like this out of the box what would be like in 6 months? The delivery crew said it seemed just fine and like others they had assembled ... yeh, Right! ( It was delivered late on a Friday afternoon.) We realize the Nordictrack C700 has been described as a "good" entry level machine. Maybe this one was just a "lemon" or we should have purchased a better quality product. It gets one star because the console is attractive, the back-lit screen and fan is are nice features.
Love the treadmill, but not a single bit of info regarding the one year iFit membership that was to come with it. Customer service couldn’t help and I’ve had no luck getting in touch with iFit.
Never recieved, contacted over 20 times being hung up on and telling me they have no idea where the item is or how to track it. Stating it went through 2 other companies!!!!
It looks a lot bigger in my house than it did in the store, but I'm glad I went with a model with a few more features. Console is nice and sleek. Easy to sue without reading manual. Listening to my iPod through speakers is great! Auto fan is a real plus. Assembly is not complicated, but does take 2. Took me 4 days because I had to wait for my son to have time to help. If you have extra cash, pay for assembly! I especially like hydraulic mechanism that slowly lowers it to the floor. Don't have to worry about my grand-babies accidentally getting crushed. Even so, I keep large potted plant in front when it's raised. It feels as good as any treadmill I've ever used at a gym (and I've belong to more than a few). I only use it for brisk walking, but I have no doubt it'd be fine for running. Only "con" is the iFit. I didn't really have a need for it, but I tried to set it up anyway. It said the software needed an update, but it wouldn't install and then it crashed the console! Treadmill wouldn't turn on after that. I used NordicTrack "chat" to contact customer service (not an easy process), but they immediately ordered me a new console. It was a little confusing because the representative never even said what the problem was, just gave me an order number. Took a little more than a week to get replacement. The video link the rep sent me had nothing to do with installing a console (it was about updating software with a chip of some sort) so after figuring out which screws to remove without taking the whole thing apart, I got it installed and it's been great (for these past 3 days). If that changes, I'll be updating my review.
I ordered this and paid extra for "preferred" delivery on a Sat. morning. I checked the information online when I ordered this. Spoke with customer service after placing my order and delivery request. And spoke with the person who confirmed the delivery time the night before. The treadmill should be setup by the delivery men when it is delivered.
Delivery morning came, the delivery person was very nice and professional. However, he said they only were scheduled for 7 minutes to do a "leave in carton" for the treadmill. This is counter to all the Sears documentation and information I was told. I let them know to just keep it on the truck and cancelled my order. I didn't want to waste another day/morning scheduling a work order for something I already ordered. This is part of why Sears will no longer be in business soon.
Bought this from Sears during thanksgiving..Treadmill stopped working from day 1..It ran for few minutes then stopped and there was burning smell..Nordictrak’s customer service is horrible.It puts you on hold for an hr before someone speaks to you.was sent a replacement motor and was expected to assemble to a new treadmill ..drive belt did not fit and now i doubt issue is drive belt and not motor..trying to reach customer service again..its pure harassment once they sell the product to you its like they dont care much..stay away from this company..
