Got this machine for a Christmas present to replace my old machine that was dying. Love all the features and is confortable and easy to use. A little hard to put together but luckily my sons did it for me.
I am beyond frustrated with this product, I never usually do reviews. My husband and I just bought this in December and have had a problem almost every month since buying it. We paid the extra money for Sears to put it together for us, which seems like it wasn't worth it because either they did a terrible job doing it and everything is breaking, or the product itself is terrible. First my husband was running on it after just a few weeks of owning it and it started smelling terribly of burning rubber. When we tried to adjust the part you walk on as NordicTrack explained to do over the phone, they said the piece to tighten the belt sounded like it was broken so they had to send out a new piece. So first we have to wait for the new piece to be sent, then we have to wait to hear from Fractured Fitness who they contract with for service. The whole process takes about 2 weeks, then the Fractured Fitness worker (yes there is only one of them) is so busy he can't come for at least a week. So I have a frustrated husband who can't run on his new broken treadmill. Then the day finally comes to get it fixed, and the fractured fitness worker tells us it also needs a new motor. Again another few weeks of ordering the new piece and waiting to be scheduled again to be seen by Fractured Fitness. Then we were doing okay for a little while, and one day my husband goes downstairs and the entire console is hanging down towards the ground. We call NordicTrack (which I forgot to mention, anytime you try to call Sears they say they can't help you, you have to speak with NordicTrack even though Sears assembled it) who tells us this is a quick fix, a piece they can just send us in the mail and we can easily put back together. Not so! My husband spent at least 2 hours taking apart the wires of the console and rewiring the thing, only to find out NordicTrack was wrong and had not sent us the right piece. Two pieces of metal had completely snapped for no good reason! Oh and I didn't mention this incorrect piece that we waited for took at least 1 month to get to our house. Ended up speaking with NordicTrack again, just wanting our money back at this point and they said we have to speak with Sears. Explained anytime I call Sears they say I have to speak with NordicTrack. Anyway, after 30 minutes on the phone NordicTrack, being lied to about a few things (like that the person I spoke with didn't have a supervisor), they said they would give me a "one time exception" to have someone out to my house to take a look at the treadmill. And with all my complaining she said she didn't really think I was having that many problems with the treadmill, she had seen many more problems with other customers--how is that supposed to make me feel better about this treadmill? Well now its been almost a month since that phone call and I still have a broken treadmill in my basement, still waiting for Fractured Fitness to come look at it... I want to return this treadmill, it is a piece of junk!
The item never worked right from the start.. now the motor is shot after only 3 years and not a lot of use.
Now I have a problem with my product I need assistance.
Had this since 2016 and the motor brushes have already gone bad leaving me with a 700 dollar piece of junk with no way to get ahold of anyone to get repaired under warranty!
I do like the machine. I like the speed adjustments, the include feature, the mobility (wheels). I feel it's very sturdy. Enough for wide strides (for tall people). I don't like that the fan is made for tall people. It point too far up. I also wish that the software would work with in home wifi instead of having to purchase the feature. The space is used up by features that don't work if you don't pay for the purchase of these features.
This is my second NordicTrack and I won't purchase another brand.
