Nice solid treadmill, only downfall is that you must sign up to ifit.
Purchased online from sears for store pickup. Treadmill was brought to the house and unboxed and saw a frayed wire/cable. Supposedly this treadmill is “new” and being sold at a discount. Called sears support and have been hung up on twice and transferred to online support departments who say they cannot help me. Been two days since I purchased this product and no customer service on a broken product that was sold as new. Very disappointed in sears and it’s customer service. Never shopping at this business again.
About the treadmill - see send of review
This purchase was so frustrating. It started when the web site wouldn't work to purchase and I had to call in for assistance - I should have stopped then. I scheduled delivery for a day I was off, they didn't bring it then and I had to take a 1/2 day off of work for the reschedule. While waiting on delivery, I got another call to reschedule it. The drivers said I wasn't home - but I had been sitting in my living room for over an hour. They never came and lied about it. When they finally came, they didn't assemble/install it - one of the main reasons I purchased from Sears. I spent over an hour on the phone to get install scheduled, getting transferred around to several different people. They never showed up to install it. I made 2 more hour + phone calls. Multiple people promised me installation, but it never happened. It was so frustrating. I thought ****** was killing Sears, but clearly it is their terrible customer service and they way they lie to customers. This is definitely the Sears that my parents and grandparents bought things from. As I've talked to friends and co-workers, I've heard similar stories about the Sears of today.
About the treadmill - the set up/assembly was a lot. It definitely takes two people. Three would have been nice. The treadmill won't work until you activate it iFit, but the activation code on the treadmill wouldn't work. I had to give iFit my credit card information to get the treadmill to work. The speakers aren't very loud. I thought I would play music and podcast through them while I used the treadmill, but the treadmill is louder than the speakers. Also, I thought I could use Bluetooth to play music through the speakers. Only the iFit app works with the bluetooth.
Bottom line - definitely don't buy from Sears. Only buy NordicTrack if you are prepared to give your personal and credit card info to iFit.
This is my first treadmill buying experience and failed. I bought this treadmill (NordicTrack C 960i Treadmill - 2020) model through Sears during the last Thanks Giving for $599 + tax. Due to the holiday season there were issues with the delivery date and finally it got delivered end of Dec. From then I had issues with the product, since it’s new I thought to wait and monitor it for couple of weeks to check its performance. And I was correct, the product had serious issues. It could be an issue with the product it got delivered to me, but I just want you guys who read reviews to be aware before buying this product. Issues: (1) Machine stops by itself after 20-25 minutes of walking (2) Machine abruptly stops after 6 minutes of running (6MPH) which almost made me fall couple of times (3) Speed suddenly increases from low speed (1MPH) to 6/7 MPH (within a sec) without any manual intervention which made me fall this morning but narrowly escaped because of the handrails. (4) jerks during running/walking I reported this issue last week through Sears chat, today they send me a delivery guy over to my home instead of technician which was an absurd decision from them. The delivery guy looked at the machine and reported no issues with the assembly and complained about motherboard or the motor. I have decided not to get it fixed since the product is pretty new and if issue returns after a while, I will not be able to use the return option as well. I don't want to live with a defective product for ever. So, I called up the respective dept and spoke to the reps and supervisor and I totally wasted 40 minutes with them. The sears guys were not helpful at all and finally I had to return the product since there were no other options. I think that’s the best decision made rather killing myself with a defective treadmill like this. Whoever (Sears or NordicTrack) sending the product over to the customers, they should check the machines and do a solid quality check. I will not recommend this product to anyone.
